BKGN 2025: Commitment of UNPRI and RSGM Prima to Providing Sustainable Dental Health Services and Education to the Community
The Embodiment of UNPRI and RSGM Prima's Commitment to Dental Health Services and Education
Medan — The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FKKG) of Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) reaffirms its role as the best private campus in Medan by organizing the 2025 National Dental Health Month (BKGN). This program is held in collaboration with RSGM Prima and Unilever as a tangible contribution to improving public health standards and supporting national and global health agendas.
The 2025 BKGN was centered at RSGM Prima, Jalan Pabrik Tenun No. 103 Medan. Despite heavy rainfall and flooding in Medan, the service remained optimal and was concentrated on December 19-20, 2025, to ensure maximum community reach.
BKGN is an annual national program initiated through the collaboration of ARSGMPI, AFDOKGI, PDGI, and Unilever Indonesia. This initiative aligns with SDGs 4, SDGs 17, specifically promoting good health and well-being through oral health preventive measures.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the UNPRI Foundation Daily Management Board, Prof. Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn; Deputy Account Manager of Unilever Indonesia, Sartono Sinaga; Director of RSGM Prima, Dr. drg. Florenly, MHSM., MPH.; and the leadership of FKKG UNPRI. Under the theme "Healthy Teeth and Gums, Great Indonesian Smile," the event provided free dental treatments, school health programs, and digital health education.
Committee Chairperson, Dr. drg. Shieny Lokanata, M.Biomed., explained that BKGN serves as a clinical learning platform for students of the best Undergraduate and Professional Dental Programs in Medan under FKKG UNPRI. Since 2012, RSGM Prima has hosted BKGN 13 times, reinforcing its role as a teaching hospital that implements patient-centered care with state-of-the-art facilities.
With the motto "Innovative & Prime Quality Dental Care," UNPRI continues to strengthen its reputation as the best private campus in Medan, excelling in dental education and community service.
