UNPRI and Disnaker Medan Facilitate Thousands of Job Vacancies at Medan Career Expo 2026
Synergy Between Education and Industry to Support the Advancement of Human Resources in Medan.
Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) is strengthening its commitment to bridging graduates with the industrial world through a strategic collaboration with the Medan City Manpower Office (Disnaker). This synergy is realized through the hosting of Medan Career Expo 2026, a large-scale job fair centered at the UNPRI Hall, 10th Floor, Jalan Sampul No. 3, Medan, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. The event is scheduled to run from 09:00 to 15:00 WIB and is projected to be one of the largest job markets in North Sumatra.
More than 150 companies from various sectors are scheduled to participate, offering thousands of job vacancies accessible directly to students, alumni, and the general public. Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Dr. Refi Ikhtiari, M.Sc., Ph.D., stated that UNPRI’s selection as the host is a concrete step in supporting the career development of its students and alumni. He emphasized that the job readiness of graduates is a top priority managed intensively through the Center of Entrepreneurship and Development Center (CEDC) UNPRI.
"Hosting the Medan Career Expo at our campus is a core part of CEDC's mission to provide direct access to the professional world for students and alumni. We want to ensure that the transition from education to employment is effective and supported by the right ecosystem," said Dr. Refi Ikhtiari.
The Medan Manpower Office, represented by Acting Head Ramaddan, explained that this annual activity initiated by the Mayor of Medan, Rico Waas, aims to reduce unemployment in the city. During the event, several participating companies will also conduct on-site walk-in interviews, providing faster opportunities for applicants. Furthermore, the expo highlights inclusivity by providing specific job vacancies for people with disabilities. This collaboration reinforces UNPRI's position as a forward-thinking university committed to SDGs 4, SDGs 8, and SDGs 17.
