Bringing Indonesia's Digital Health Transformation Vision To The Asian Stage
Hanoi, Vietnam, October 16, 2026 — Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) Rector, Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes., made a remarkable impact on the global stage by serving as a distinguished speaker at the Asia Telemedicine Summit (ATS) 2026 held at the Fairmont Hanoi Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Friday (Oct 16, 2026). This prestigious summit was co-organized by the Asia Telemedicine Society (ATS) and Hanoi Medical University Hospital, themed “Telemedicine in the Era of Connected Care — Toward Smart, Equitable and Sustainable Health Systems”.
The UNPRI Rector presented in Session 7: Tele-Radiology held from 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM local time in Room 1 of Fairmont Hanoi, chaired by Prof. Aziza G. Icksan, M.D., Ph.D. Sharing the panel with prominent healthcare leaders—including former Indonesian Minister of Health Prof. Dr. dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, Sp.Rad(K)., Assoc. Prof. Le Tuan Linh, M.D., Ph.D., and Prof. Aziza G. Icksan—Prof. Chrismis delivered an insightful presentation titled “Connecting ASEAN Through Telemedicine: How Indonesian Universities Can Lead the Next Generation of Regional Digital Health”.
During her presentation, Prof. Chrismis emphasized the strategic role of Indonesian higher education institutions—particularly those possessing integrated health education ecosystems like UNPRI—in driving digital health transformation across the ASEAN region. She asserted that universities function not only as producers of healthcare professionals, but also as drivers of medical technology innovation capable of bridging healthcare access gaps in underserved regions.
