Prima Cup 2014 Annual Event to Build Solidarity Between Unpri Students
Chairman of BPH Universitas Prima Indonesia (Unpri) Dr. Tommy Leonard S.H., M.Kn., said that the Prima Cup event is an annual event to build togetherness between Unpri students, and to find talents in the field of sports. "This activity is held for 4 days and the results of the futsal selection will be included in the competition between universities throughout North Sumatra," said Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn.," after opening the Prima Cup 2014 event to journalists, Sunday (16/11) at the Unpri Campus 4 Basketball Court, Jalan Bridjend Katamso Medan.
The event was attended by the Head of Unpri Quality Assurance Seno Aji, S.Pd., M.Eng., Prac., Dean of FTIK Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom, Vice Dean of FE Unpri Hendri, S.E., M.M, Global Prima Coordinator Willy Tanjaya, S.H, S.Kom, M.Kn, Principals of Global Prima Elementary and High Schools.
Tommy said that his party welcomed the implementation of the Prima Cup 2014. Because, positive activities like this can foster a spirit of sports. Tommy hopes that with this activity, students can use it as a means of friendship, and can also establish communication that well, and measure achievements between fellow students in a sporty manner.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Committee, Zuqni Arafat added, this year's Prima Cup 2014 held a Basketball, Futsal and Badminton competition, which was attended by 31 teams for futsal, 6 men's basketball teams and 6 women's basketball teams, 20 men's singles badminton teams and 12 men's doubles badminton teams, and 12 mixed doubles badminton teams (all participants are unpri students). Zuqni said, the Prima Cup 2014 event is an annual event between students. Thanks to good cooperation, the activity ran successfully.
Sports activities such as Basketball, Futsal and Badminton are one of the efforts to form a prime body and soul, especially for the younger generation, students as a manifestation of national and state development in fostering healthy and strong individuals, both physically and mentally spiritually.
Previously, Zuqni added, Unpri students had also won the Taekwondo achievement of 1st place in the North Sumatra championship in 2011, 2nd place in the North Sumatra taekwondo championship, Tebing Tinggi Mayor's Cup 2011, 3rd place in the PORKOT Medan taekwondo championship 2011, 3rd place in the Sumatra taekwondo championship in Padang 2012, 1st place in the PORKOT MEDAN taekwondo championship 2013, 1st place in the North Sumatra taekwondo championship, USU CUP II trophy 2014, 1st place in the SUMUT TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP 2014, 2nd place in the PORKOT MEDAN taekwondo championship 2014, 3rd place in the 2014 open national taekwondo championship, 3rd place in the PPLM and UKM Jakarta National Championship 2014.
Then, 3rd Place PORKOT MEDAN 2011, 3rd Place with the Sumatra Taekwondo Championship in Padang 2012, 3rd Place Porkot Medan 2013, 1st Place Porkot Medan 2014. For Basketball in 2013, 2nd Place UMSU CUP in 2014, 3rd Place Bank Sumut Cup, badminton in 2013, 3rd Place STBA PIA Cup (PT Medan).
