UNPRI Electrical Engineering Holds MATRIX 2026: Students Showcase IoT and Robotics Innovations

>Exhibition of Modern Automation, Technology, and Renewable Energy Proves UNPRI Produces Innovative Sociotechnopreneur-Based Engineers

Medan, July 11, 2026 — The Electrical Engineering Study Program of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FAST) at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) successfully held MATRIX 2026 (Modern Automation, Technology, Robotics and EBT Exhibition) at the 10th-floor lobby of the UNPRI campus from July 9–11, 2026. The exhibition showcased innovative student projects in automation, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and Renewable Energy (EBT).

Featured projects included an IoT-based Infusion Monitoring and Automated Notification System, and an Arduino UNO-based Hand Nerve Therapy Device with opto-coupler sensors. These biomedical engineering breakthroughs were developed with support from Prima Group’s healthcare facilities, including RSU Royal Prima Medan.

UNPRI Vice Rector I, Dr. Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom., praised the event, stating, "Technological innovation is at the core of UNPRI's vision as a sociotechnopreneurship campus. Through this exhibition, students demonstrate their ability to translate academic knowledge into tangible, impactful solutions for global industrial challenges."

Head of the Electrical Engineering Program, Winner Parluhutan Nainggolan, S.T., M.Kom., explained that MATRIX 2026 reflects the program’s focus on control systems, telecommunications, and renewable energy. "We encourage cross-disciplinary challenges. Our biomedical research collaborations with RSU Royal Prima prove that engineering and healthcare can work hand-in-hand to produce solutions society truly needs," he noted.

MATRIX 2026 confirms that UNPRI students are capable of creating relevant and competitive technological works.
