Agro Unpri Alumni Absorbed in Industry
Faculty of Agro Technology Warranty Works in Plantation
The absorption of alumni in the workforce is a benchmark for the quality of a university, including the Faculty of Agrotechnology, Universitas Prima Indonesia (Unpri). "During the TNI, 40 percent of our alumni from the Faculty of Agrotechnology have been absorbed into the palm oil industry. They were accepted with only a 3-month waiting period," said Dean of the Faculty of Agrotechnology Unpri Seno Aji SPd MEng Prac; Wednesday (12/14).
According to Seno after signing the work contract of permanent employees of the palm oil plantation assistant PT Gurita Samba and alumni of Agro technology Unpri at the Adimulia Hotel Medan, based on data as of December 2016, it was recorded that 40 percent of alumni had signed the work contract, while the rest were waiting for the selection results. At the signing of the work contract, Seno was accompanied by the Head of the General Academic Administration and Finance Agency of Agrotechnology Pokok Pikiran Abednego S. Karo Sekali STP MP and dShadn Head of the study program Bayu Pratomo SST MP and Head of Student Affairs Taruna Wardiansyah.
Head of BPH Unpri Dr Tommy Leonard SH MKn expressed his appreciation to the Agrotechnology alumni who were accepted to work at PT Gunta Samba. For that he advised, that alumni bring the good name of their alma mater in the world of education. He said that the signing of this contract was one of the results of the collaboration between the Faculty of Agrotechnology Unpri and partner companies. In this case, the company came to campus to conduct a direct selection.
The Faculty of Agrotechnology is an undergraduate study program (SI) with B accreditation that focuses on higher education in the palm oil sector "We prepare students to enter the palm oil industry, as well as facilitate graduates to work in companies," said Tommy. As is known, the companies that have committed to carrying out the selection are PT Gunta Samba, PT Triputera Agro Persada, PT Bangkit Usaha Mandiri, PT First Resource and several other companies.
