"Unpri Provides Assistance to Orphanages Throughout Medan City"
The chairman of the Universitas Prima Indonesia foundation, Agung Granda Subrata, reminded us of the importance of preparing the nation's young children, as heirs to the nation's generation in a better future. "I remind you of this, because currently our children are faced with very big challenges. The challenges are globalization and various dimensions of life, which are influenced by the progress of science and technology which if we cannot counteract and anticipate properly, then the future generation of our nation will be badly affected," he said, at the Unpri Family Breaking Fast Event together with the Royal Prima Hospital family in the Multipurpose Room of the Royal Prima Hospital, Jalan Ayahanda Medan
The event was attended by Unpri Advisor Prof. Sanwani Nasution, SH, Dr. RE Nainggolan MM, Unpri Chancellor Prof. Djakobus Tarigan AAI, DAAK, Director of Royal Prima Hospital dr. Deli Theo, SpPK, MARS, Vice Chancellor I Seno Aji, Coordinator of Global Prima School, Dr. Willy Tanjaya SH SKom M.Kn Chancellor of Sutomo University RJ Marpaung SH, Drs. Hilman Haidir, MPd (chairman of the committee) and orphans from orphanages throughout Medan City.
Agung Ganda Subrata said that efforts to save the nation's young shoots are not only the task and responsibility of the government, but are the obligation of all. "We must be able to provide teaching and education of morals, as well as provide understanding and experience of morals that are sourced from religious teachings," he said.
Especially for the children from the orphanage who were present, Agung Subrata was confident that they would be able to realize their dreams of being able to study at university. "Believe me, that these dreams can definitely be realized, if the children are willing to study hard, diligently and with patience. In this case, Unpri has provided full education scholarships, up to undergraduate level to underprivileged children, but they must be smart and achieve," Agung Subrata said convincingly.
He explained that education scholarships from Universitas Prima Indonesia, specifically for children who are economically disadvantaged, have been distributed every year. Hundreds of orphanage children have received education scholarships at Universitas Prima Indonesia. "This year, we are still providing scholarship opportunities to children from orphanages," he said.
Meanwhile, Unpri Rector Prof. Jakobus Tarigan AAI DAAK added that this breaking of the fast together event was a very noble event. The activity of breaking the fast and giving gifts to orphans in orphanages throughout Medan City is carried out every year. Separately, Drs. H. Hilman Haidir, MPd (chairman of the committee) told reporters, Saturday (11/7) that this activity aims to realize concern for others, and increase the values of brotherhood and foster unity. Hilman added, this month of Ramadan we must make it a month of gratitude. "We must be able to become people who are good at being grateful," he said.
