Prima Indonesia University Holds Big Family Christmas Celebration
The Big Theme Remains True
After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Universitas Prima Indonesia held a Family Christmas Celebration with the theme "Stay Faithful" on Saturday, November 10, 2022 at the UNPRI Main Campus Hall, Jalan Sampul 4, Medan City.
The Christmas celebration was attended by the founder of UNPRI, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman E.Lister MKes AIFM, chairman of BPH Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn, UNPRI Chancellor Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting M.Kes, Vice Chancellor I, Abdi Dharma M.Kom, Vice Chancellor II, Prof. Dr. Ermi Girsang MKes and Vice Rector III Said Rizal, M.A, representatives of Deans, heads of bureaus, professors, lecturers, staff, students; and the UNPRI academic community.
In his speech to start the Christmas celebration and service, the UNPRI Rector stated that this Christmas celebration means instilling a new character, namely loyalty, a value that is increasingly rare in this modern era.
"Rarely do people want to be loyal to the reality of life that is not in accordance with reality, and the lives of the academic community themselves, both in academic and non-academic environments, are always inseparable from the problems faced," said Chrismis
The Rector added that in the midst of life, both as individuals, as academics and as students, sometimes things are not always as expected.
As a campus located in the city of Medan, a multi-ethnic and dynamic city, it is hoped that UNPRI graduates will not only have academic mastery and competence but also character. This is in line with UNPRI's existence as a university with character in the midst of society.
Christmas celebration at UNPRI is not just a ceremonial event, or Christmas only for those who celebrate, but also accompanied by the provision of assistance to several orphanages in the city of Medan through the Yayasan Cinta Kasih Mandiri (YCKM)
Furthermore, a service and candle lighting were carried out, followed by a Christmas sermon delivered by Rev. Drg. Jeremia Tarigan, S.Th in a family atmosphere and full of love between fellow Christians who attended the Christmas celebration at UNPRI.
In the litany of sermons, Rev. Tarigan emphasized the importance of maintaining loyalty and sincerity, a sincere attitude and not looking at everything in terms of profit and loss. The key, said Tarigan, is in three attitudes, believe, obey, and carry out.
After the service was finished, the event continued with the appearance of student representatives from several faculties at UNPRI and ended with a door prize distribution session and a group photo session.
