PT. LONSUM Holds Campus Hiring at UNPRI
On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, CEDC (Career Entrepreneur Development Center) Universitas Prima Indonesia in collaboration with PT.LONSUM held a campus hiring aimed at recruiting alumni and final year students. The event was held at the UNPRI Main Campus Hall, Jalan Sampul 3, Medan City.
On this occasion, a team of representatives from PT. LONSUM consisting of Mr. Andri (Trainer), Mr. Adi (HRD), and Mrs. Elvidawaty (Recruitment) were present to provide in-depth insights into the company and the recruitment stages carried out at PT. LONSUM. Meanwhile, the ranks of the UNPRI Rectorate and Deanate who attended the event were Dr. Said Rizal, S.H.I, M.H, (Vice Rector III of UNPRI), Mr. Dhanny Rukmana, S.T, M.T, Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Mrs. Cut Fitri Rostina, S.E, M.M, as Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Mrs. Fenny Krisna Marpaung, S.E, M.Si, Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Economics UNPRI, and Tiara Aulia Pratiwi, S.Psi, M.Psi, from the UNPRI Career Center. The event was attended by 250 UNPRI students and alumni.
The activity began with the presentation of a "company profile" from PT. LONSUM as a complete description of the company profile, the work culture adopted, and the career opportunities available in it. The participants were then invited to take part in a session sharing experiences with alumni and final year students who have successfully started their careers at PT. LONSUM. They shared inspiring stories, revealed the challenges they faced, and shared valuable lessons they learned during their careers at this plantation company.
The event closed with a Curriculum Vitae (CV) collection session for participants who were interested in applying for jobs at PT. LONSUM. This provides an opportunity for the company to carry out further selection processes.
The Campus Hiring event held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 is a concrete step that reflects UNPRI's commitment to ensuring that alumni and final year students get real and relevant career opportunities in the business and industrial world. This is an effort that illustrates the important role of universities in helping students and graduates face the transition from education to work.
