Chung Yuan University Taiwan Visits Unpri
Chung Yuan University Taiwan visited Universitas Prima Indonesia (Unpri) Medan. Present at the visit were Chung Yuan University Peng, Ni-Se Associate Professor, Department of Teaching Chinese As A second Language and his staff. Deputy Chairperson of the Citra Alumni Association of Taiwan Indonesia North Sumatra Leoni Mary. The arrival of the University of Taiwan was warmly welcomed by the Chairperson of the Advisory Board of Universitas Prima Indonesia dr. I Nyoman Ehrich Lister, M.Kes., AIFM, Chairperson of BPH Unpri Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., MKn., Advisor to Unpri dr. Sofian Wijaya, M.H.A., Vice Chancellor I Seno Aji, S.Pd., M.Eng. , Prac., Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics (FE) Hendri, S.E., M.M, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Computer Science UNPRI Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom., Permanent Lecturer of Mandarin FE Unpri Teng Sauh Hwee In the Hall of the Multipurpose Building of the Royal Prima Hospital Medan, November 21, 2014.
According to the Head of BPH Unpri Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn, the purpose of this meeting is to create an MoU between universities and establish cooperation for the development of Bahasa Mandiri as a second language.
Tommy said, many students in North Sumatra study in Taiwan, both for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs. Likewise, many students from Taiwan study at Unpri. To build good cooperation in the field of education, Unpri will provide scholarship offers to students from Taiwan, especially for the Indonesian Language Undergraduate Study Program, and vice versa, Chung Yuan University also offers scholarships for Unpri students to continue their education to a higher level (Masters and Doctoral) at Chung Yuan University.
"In addition to the scholarship offer, the MoU is intended for cooperation in the double degree program, namely studying at Unpri and at Chung Yuan University in Taiwan, and also for cooperation in the tridharma of higher education," said Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn to reporters after Chung Yuan University Taiwan's visit to Unpri Medan, yesterday.
Tommy hopes that Chung Yuan University Taiwan, with the cooperation established by these two universities, will produce quality Human Resources (HR), and improve the quality of both universities.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector I Seno Aji, S.Pd., M.Eng., Prac., hopes that Chung Yuan University Taiwan, which is the Best Private University in Taiwan, can become a reference university for Unpri, so that Unpri can develop rapidly, in accordance with the Tridharma of higher education.
