Dina Anggraini and Adi Putra Rajagukguk Become North Sumatra Language Ambassadors 2016

Two of the best students of Universitas Prima Indonesia (Unpri) Medan, Dina Anggraini and Adi Putra Rajagukguk, won the 2016 North Sumatra (Sumut) Province Language Ambassador Selection. Dina Anggraini, This fifth semester Accounting student from the Faculty of Economics, Unpri, managed to beat her opponents until the final round and won 1st place, so that this beautiful girl and Miss Photogenic Unpri 2015 won the title of North Sumatra Provincial Language Ambassador 2016.

This 21-year-old multi-talented student will compete in the National Language Ambassador Selection event in Jakarta next October representing North Sumatra. Not inferior to her fellow student, Adi Putra Rajagukguk, a student from the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Unpri also managed to win the title of favorite champion in the prestigious event.

The success of these two Unpri students cannot be separated from the hard work and prayers that they have put forth. Full support from their families and all Unpri academics certainly also became their own encouragement to make the best achievements for the good name of Unpri in North Sumatra. It is no wonder that various test categories, including personality interviews, must be passed by all participants. This year, as many as 65 students from almost all PTN/PTS throughout North Sumatra registered as participants. However, after passing various tests, including presentations on ideas or concepts about language, only 20 male and female finalists were entitled to enter the peak event.

The peak night of the North Sumatra Language Ambassador Selection North Sumatra 2016 entitled Mulia Bahasamu, Rupawan Parasmu was held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Garuda Plaza Hotel Medan. At the peak event, the jury determined 10 male and female finalists, and in the next round they were required to answer questions randomly drawn by the committee. This was the most decisive round, because none of the finalists knew the questions that would be given and their answers became the final assessment for the six judges.

After going through a very tough deliberation, for the female category, the jury determined Dina Anggraini as the 2016 North Sumatra Language Ambassador, and for the male category it was won by Agung Qosym from USU. Furthermore, both of them will be given intensive supplies and various preparations at the North Sumatra Language Center, to take part in the 2016 National Language Ambassador Selection event which will be held in October in Jakarta.
