The Prima Group extended family held a breaking of the fast with children from an orphanage in Medan City, at the Main Campus of Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) Jalan Sampul No. 3 Medan, Friday (14/3/2025).
Present at the event were Medan City Regional Secretary Wiriya Al-rahman, Prima Group Founder Prof. Dr. dr. I Nyoman E. Lister., M.Kes, Sp.KKLP, UNPRI BPH Chairman Prof. Dr. Tommy Leonard, SH.,M.Kn, PT Royal Prima Tbk President Commissioner Dr.Heriyanti, SH., M.Kn, PT Royal Prima Tbk Board of Directors, UNPRI Chancellor Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes, Royal Prima Hospital General Manager Julim, S.K.M., M.K.M, RSU President Director. Royal Prima Ayahanda Medan Dr. dr. Wienaldi, M.K.M, Director of RSU. Royal Prima Marelan dr. Budi Septhian Lizar, M.K.M, Director of RS. Prima Vision Eyes dr. M. Farid Syahrian, M.K.M, Director of RS. Prima Dental and Oral Dr. drg. Florenly, MPH. Also present were Vice Rector I UNPRI Abdi Dharma S.Kom. M.Kom, Vice Rector II Prof. Dr. Ermi Girsang MKes, M.Biomed, AIFO, Vice Rector III Refi Ikhtiari S.Si. M.Si. PhD and Vice Rector IV. Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution MKT, MKM, Sp.KKLP (K). And appearing as a speaker, Ustadz Prof. Dr. M. Syukri Albani, MA, Professor of UIN North Sumatra Medan.
Rector of UNPRI Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes in her speech said, the month of Ramadan is a month full of grace, a month where we are invited to increase our faith, strengthen our friendship, and share with others. In accordance with the theme of this activity, namely "Cleanse the Heart, Knit Friendship", said the rector, this event is not just a moment to break the fast, but also a forum to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and togetherness between us all, both as co-workers, partners, and extended families who continue to grow and develop together. In this month, it is not only about breaking the fast together, but also sharing happiness with those in need. "Every year, Prima Group always provides assistance to orphanages in Medan City, and this year, with gratitude, Prima Group is holding Ramadan assistance for 30 orphanages in Medan City and its surroundings. We hope that this assistance can provide benefits for the children in orphanages and give them happiness, and remind us all about the importance of sharing and caring for others," said the Rector of UNPRI. This activity, added the rector, is a commitment of Prima Group to continue to spread benefits not only in the business world, but also in social life. "We believe that a company is not only judged by its business success, but also by the extent to which it can provide a positive impact on society," said Prof. Chrismis.
The Rector expressed his gratitude to the Founder of Prima Group for the material and moral support provided and also to all leaders of institutions under the auspices of Prima Group for their cooperation and support in implementing this activity.
"I would like to thank all parties who have supported the implementation of this event, especially the committee who have worked hard to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Hopefully what we do today will be a field of charity recorded by God Almighty, bring blessings to Prima Group, and inspire us all to continue to do good. Let us make this Ramadan a momentum to further increase our concern and strengthen our brotherhood among us," said the Chancellor of UNPRI. Meanwhile, Ustadz Prof. Dr. M. Syukri Albani, MA in his lecture invited the extended family of Prima Group to maintain their relationship with the children in the orphanage, because they are original people who pray for you to be healthy, great, and strong whether you have a position or not. This professor of UIN North Sumatra said that Ramadan was presented by Allah SWT collectively, not only to build an individualistic atmosphere. "Fasting builds vertical and horizontal interactions," he said. Head of BPH UNPRI Prof. Dr. Tommy Leonard, SH., M.Kn, in a separate place, Saturday (3/15/2025) said, fasting in the month of Ramadan is not just about holding back hunger and thirst, but also involves many aspects of life, including togetherness with others.
"With this joint fasting, it is certainly able to strengthen togetherness in order to strengthen social relations with others and build a sense of brotherhood between each other. Togetherness is also a momentum to build harmonious communication in relations between humans, both in the family environment, workplace, and in society," said Prof. Tommy. The breaking of the fast together activity was also filled with dance performances from UNPRI students and dances from students of Sekolah Global Prima and the handover of Ramadan assistance to the children of the orphanage.
