Handing Over 300 Scholarships, Medan Mayor Reminds to Continue to Be Devoted to Parents
Medan Berkah Collaborative Scholarship from Mr. Bobby Nasution
Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution hands over 300 scholarships to underprivileged children in Medan City to continue their education to university level. The scholarship was given personally by Bobby Nasution without using the Medan City Government budget as a form of his concern for the world of education in the city of Medan. A total of 300 children accompanied by their respective parents received the scholarship at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI), Thursday (11/18/2021).
The scholarship handover was also witnessed by the Kasdam I/BB, Brigadier General TNI Purwito Hadi Wardhono, UNPRI Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes. and the UNPRI academic community. Bobby said that this scholarship will be an encouragement for the recipients to continue their higher education in the future. "I sincerely give this scholarship personally with the assistance of UNPRI, hopefully this scholarship given will be blessed," said Bobby. He also reminded the younger siblings who received the scholarship to never forget to be devoted to their parents and to make their parents their motivation in every activity in order to receive blessings from Allah SWT.
"Make your parents your motivation in every activity, so that our lives will always be made easy by Allah SWT," said Bobby. "Parents have great expectations for you, therefore be serious in studying, prove that we are the best." Bobby Nasution concluded, who was accompanied by the Acting Head of the Medan City Education Office, Topan OP Ginting. One of the parents who received the scholarship expressed his gratitude to Bobby Nasution. With great emotion, the elderly mother said that this was the first time a Mayor had personally provided scholarships to underprivileged children in Medan City.
"I would like to thank Mr. Bobby Nasution, I did not expect my child to be able to continue his education, this is a blessing from Allah given to my child through Mr. Bobby Nasution," he said. Previously, UNPRI Chancellor Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes. explained, after going through a fairly long selection process, there were 300 students to be recommended to continue their education at UNPRI. She hopes that students can take advantage of this scholarship to improve their achievements and be able to graduate on time.
