Dean Emphasizes Importance Of Ethics And Medical Patient Safety

Medan, November 4, 2026 — The Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK) at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) successfully hosted the Inauguration and Oath-Taking Ceremony for Batch IV Pharmacists at the Main Hall of the UNPRI Main Campus on Wednesday (Nov 4, 2026). A total of 55 graduates from the Pharmacy Professional Education Study Program were officially inducted and sworn in, marking the beginning of their professional dedication to pharmaceutical care in society.

The solemn event was attended by UNPRI FIK Dean Dr. Santy Deasy Siregar, S.K.M., M.Kes., FIK Vice Dean I apt. Razoki, S.Si., M.Kes., M.Biomed., M.H., alongside Study Program Heads, Secretaries, and members of the Academic Administration Bureau (BAA) of FIK UNPRI.

In her address, the FIK UNPRI Dean emphasized that the pharmacist's oath is not merely a ceremonial formality, but a profound moral commitment binding a pharmacist throughout their career. “Pharmacists bear a tremendous responsibility in ensuring that medications are used appropriately, safely, and rationally. Patient safety is at stake in every prescription and every service provided. Therefore, maintain your integrity, continuously update your knowledge, and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals for the sake of patient safety,” she stated. She also reminded the graduates to always uphold the ethical values and noble character instilled during their education at FIK UNPRI.

This graduation further expands the roster of qualified UNPRI pharmacist alumni ready to contribute extensively across diverse healthcare sectors, including hospitals, community pharmacies, public health centers (*puskesmas*), pharmaceutical industries, and government institutions. Through this milestone, FIK UNPRI reaffirms its unwavering commitment to producing competent, ethical, and impactful healthcare professionals.
