Prologue

The journey began before it became a university.

UNPRI began with nursing and midwifery education and evolved into a health sciences institute, before entering a new chapter as Universitas Prima Indonesia in 2005.

2001Prima Medan Nursing Academy and Midwifery Academy.

2002Developed into Prima Husada Medan College of Health Sciences.

2005Transformed into Universitas Prima Indonesia.

The Beginning of the University's Journey

UNPRI was officially established, opening a broader chapter in higher education.

On October 13, 2005, Universitas Prima Indonesia was officially established under a permit issued by the Minister of National Education. It began with 12 study programs spanning health, technology, engineering, business, and agriculture.

Early growth was supported by campus development and the expansion of fields of study.

The first campus established a foundation for academic facilities, while the university expanded into language education, medicine, dentistry, psychology, and law.

Development of Universitas Prima Indonesia's Teaching Hospitals

2010–2014

Infrastructure & Health Expansion

Health education gained support from infrastructure and teaching hospitals.

UNPRI expanded its academic infrastructure and strengthened clinical education through the development of the Dental and Oral Hospital and Royal Prima Hospital Medan.

2012 · RSGM PrimaStrengthening dental education facilities and clinical learning.

“A” accreditation marked an important milestone in strengthening the quality of medical education.

The Undergraduate Medical Program and Medical Profession Program earned “A” accreditation. In the same year, UNPRI also launched the Doctoral Program in Management.
