UNPRI Rector Presents Before the 2026 Diktisaintek Public Relations Awards Jury, Demonstrating Impactful Digital Communication Strategies
UNPRI Presents "Inspiration in Content, Implementation in Real Action
Medan, June 30, 2026 — Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) Rector Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes., delivered a direct presentation before the jury of the 2026 Diktisaintek Public Relations Awards (AHD) during the second-stage evaluation session held via Zoom Meeting on Thursday (June 30, 2026). UNPRI secured its place as one of only two Private Higher Education Institutions (PTS) within LLDikti Region I North Sumatra to qualify for this stage in the Social Media Management Category, alongside the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra (UMSU).
During the presentation, the Rector outlined UNPRI's public communication strategy centered around the core theme "Inspiration in Content, Implementation in Real Action" — a guiding principle emphasizing that top-tier content goes beyond visual appeal to genuinely inspire and generate tangible societal impact. "For UNPRI, the best social media presence is not merely the most popular, but the one that delivers genuine value and creates measurable impact," she asserted before the jury.
Prof. Chrismis introduced the structure of the UNPRI Public Relations Team, which operates across four synergistic units: a Production House for creative content creation, Digital Media for news and website management, a Podcast unit for interactive talk shows, and a Broadcasting TV unit for live streaming and video production. These four units function cohesively through daily, weekly, and incidental programming frameworks driven by a unified spirit: UNPRI Impactful.
Furthermore, the Rector highlighted UNPRI's digital growth over the past six months, noting substantial increases in audience engagement on Instagram, millions of views on TikTok, and a surge in official website traffic. These metrics demonstrate that UNPRI's social media strategy successfully guides the public toward deeper institutional engagement. Amid the rise of artificial intelligence, UNPRI maintains a firm stance: while AI optimizes operational efficiency, human creativity, empathy, and personal touch remain paramount, with all content crafted originally by the in-house PR team.
During the Q&A session, the Rector emphasized executive commitment to ongoing monitoring and evaluation (monev) of PR performance. "I am deeply committed to building a solid team alongside the executive board. Every team member is supported in enhancing their soft skills and provided with top-tier infrastructure for managing Instagram, talk shows, and podcasts," she stated. Oversight is directly managed by Vice Rector I through continuous monitoring and structured periodic meetings.
Addressing the jury's inquiries on crisis management and handling negative public interactions, Head of UNPRI Public Relations Muhammad Aditya Kurnia, S.KM., MPH., Ph.D., detailed the team's professional approach. "We consistently apply prompt, transparent, empathetic, and courteous responses to address feedback or emerging discussions in the digital public space," he explained, aligning with Situational Crisis Communication Theory to maintain professional and human-centric communications.
As UNPRI advances to the subsequent evaluation rounds of the 2026 Diktisaintek Public Relations Awards, the institution reaffirms its dedication to fostering creative, authentic, and impactful public communication for the Indonesian community.
