Calvin & Pretty, Mr. & Ms. Unpri 2013

Calvin Zhun (Faculty of Law Student) and Pretty Grace Zalukhu (Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Student) were selected as the winners in the final of Mr. and Ms. Unpri 2013 which was held on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Grand Elite Hotel Medan.

As the winners, they received plaques and educational scholarship prizes amounting to millions of rupiah.

Final of Mr. and Ms. Unpri was held in conjunction with the new student party and the celebration of the 12th anniversary of Universitas Prima Indonesia (Unpri) in one event called Unpri Fiesta 2013.

In addition to Calvin and Pretty who were selected to beat other finalists, Steven Kosiadi (Faculty of Economics Student) was also selected as the winner of the Photogenic category, and Naomi Santa Theresia (Faculty of Psychology Student) as the winner of the Good Talent category.

This Unpri Fiesta is an annual agenda held by the Unpri academic community, as a place to find talent and channel student creativity.

The Coordinator of Kopertis Region I, Prof. Dian Armanto, M.Pd., M.A., M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his pleasure in seeing the creativity of Unpri students shown at this Unpri Fiesta event.

"This indicates that Unpri students dare to be different and the talents of Unpri students must be developed even better," he said.

Meanwhile, the Advisor, dr. I Nyoman Ehrich Lister, M.Kes., AIFM, at the event which was also attended by the Head of BPH Unpri, Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn., Rector of Unpri, Prof. dr. Djakobus Tarigan, AAI, DAAK, Vice Rector I of Unpri, Prof. Dr. drg. Monang Panjaitan, Director of Royal Prima Hospital, dr. Deli Theo, Sp.PK, MARS, and Head of Public Relations Ramli J. Marpaung, S.H., M.M., also asked that students' creativity must continue to be developed, while avoiding negative things that could damage the future. "Never think about trying even once. Be sure, those prohibited items will definitely destroy the future," said Nyoman.

Nyoman also expects students to maintain the good name of their alma mater. "There should be no brawls on campus. We are sure that there is no problem that cannot be resolved through deliberation and family," he said.

He also asked all students present at the Unpri Fiesta 2013 to note that students must truly become quality figures. "If not, we will be marginalized, our position is only limited to manual laborers, unable to be thinkers, let alone as controllers," said Nyoman.
