First Batch of Students from the Faculty of Medicine, Unpri Successfully Inaugurated as Doctors
Happiness radiated from the faces of seven graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Prima Indonesia (Unpri). Their long-awaited dreams and hopes for their families have been achieved after they were officially inaugurated as doctors by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Prima Indonesia (FK Unpri) dr. H Yulitas Bachtiar, Sp.A., in the Hall of the Royal Prima Hospital, Jalan Ayahanda Medan, Tuesday, September 30, 2015.
The seven doctors who were inaugurated and have taken the oath as doctors are:
- dr. Hotmauli Sinaga;
- dr. Yanita Dame Eirene;
- dr. Prisca Sembiring;
- dr. Muhammad Arief;
- dr. Anggi Yantomi;
- dr. Jumiyem;
- dr. Lidya Kriestiantie.
Happiness was also felt by the entire Unpri academic community, that with the inauguration of the seven doctors, the Unpri Medical Faculty has graduated 100 percent of the first batch of students in 2008, as many as 16 people. And it is a matter of pride, where among the private medical faculties that were established in the same year and also accepted students, only the Unpri Medical Faculty has succeeded in graduating and inaugurating 100 percent of its first batch of students to become doctors.
The inauguration of the seven doctors who graduated from the Unpri Medical Faculty was attended by the Unpri Advisor, dr. I Nyoman Ehrich Lister, M.Kes., AIFM, Head of BPH Unpri, Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn., Advisor to Unpri, dr. Sofian Wijaya, M.H.A., and Prof. Sanwani Nasution, S.H., Rector of Unpri, Prof. dr. Djakobus Tarigan, AAI, DAAK, Vice Rector II, Ermi Girsang, SKM, M.Kes., Head of Medical Education Unit (MEU) dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, Rector of Sutomo University, Ramli J. Marpaung, SH, M.M., lecturers of FK Unpri, Prof. dr. Nerseri Barus, M.P.H., dr. Yuliani Lubis, Sp.THT-KL, dr. Oliviti Natali, M.Ked(KK), Sp.KK, and parents of doctors.
In the inauguration, the Dean of FK Unpri dr. H. Yulitas Bachtiar, Sp.A., said that the Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Prima Indonesia is the only private medical faculty in North Sumatra that has its own teaching hospital (independent), has produced doctors who are ready to serve the community and can serve patients according to applicable regulations.
So far, FK Unpri has inaugurated 16 doctors from 2013 to 2014. "The inauguration and oath of this doctor is a very happy day for the inaugurated child and their parents. A day that has been awaited, after undergoing a winding struggle since entering FK Unpri," he said.
Yulitas reminded that their struggle is not over. Because after being inaugurated, the doctors must follow an Internship Program for about one year. The Internship Program is to obtain an Internship Certificate and obtain a permanent Registration Certificate (STR), so that they can stand alone, or will continue their education to a specialist program, or also continue other study programs, or want to become civil servants or private employees.
"With the inauguration and oath of you as a doctor, you can serve and treat patients, but still within the limits according to the applicable provisions, namely through the Internship Program. After participating in the Internship Program, you can determine the next program," said the Dean of FK Unpri, while reminding, while participating in the Internship Program which will be placed in hospitals or health centers, maintain the good name of FK Unpri, work as well as possible.
Meanwhile, dr. Yanita Dame Eirene representing the inaugurated doctors in her speech expressed her gratitude and highest appreciation to the Unpri Foundation which provided the opportunity to study at Unpri which provides many learning facilities. "Because without that, we are nothing," she said.
Likewise, gratitude was conveyed to the dean and all lecturers at FK Unpri. "From them we were educated, taught, and instilled with love, as well as great responsibility towards medicine and the medical profession. Likewise with the staff who patiently provided services to us, and parents who supported us through prayers and costs so that we succeeded," he said.
Meanwhile, dr. Muhammad Arief after the inauguration when asked for his impressions at Unpri said, he got many friends, knowledge and experience gained while at FK Unpri, especially FK Unpri is taught by lecturers who are professionals in their respective fields and taught by experts and equipped with various very adequate facilities, and supported by its own teaching hospital.
FK Unpri in producing its graduate doctors is equipped with various knowledge and expertise. Moreover FK Unpri is very much supported by lecturers who are experts in their fields both from within the country and abroad, even the teaching facilities on campus are very adequate and already have their own Teaching Hospital at Royal Prima Hospital which was inaugurated by the Deputy Governor of North Sumatra (Wagubsu), Ir. H. Tengku Erry Nuradi M.Si., on February 16, 2014.
The 13-story international teaching hospital has a capacity of 250 beds, with complete facilities, such as 6 operating rooms, ICU room, ICCU room, NICU room, HDU room, Radiology (CT Scan 128 slices, Digital X-Ray, Mammography, Mobile X-Ray, 4D USG, Echo Cardiography), Hemodialysis, Cath Lab, IGD, Delivery room, Healthy Baby room, Sick Baby room, Endoscopy, Cardiac Stress Test, Children's room, 32 specialist and sub-specialist polyclinics, Medical Rehab facilities, Pharmacy, Cafeteria, Laboratory, Student Library, Seminar room, Doctor's meeting room, COASS room, Helipad (helicopter landing pad), and 24 lodging rooms.
This teaching hospital is the main hospital where the CoAss of FK Unpri students who are international in standard. The teaching hospital fully functions as an educational hospital, community service, and research.
