DKV UNPRI Hosts Prima Nusantara Vol. 2: The Only Art Gallery Graduation Exhibition in North Sumatra
Showcasing Cross-Disciplinary Creative Works in a Dynamic Artistic Space
UNPRI DKV stands as the only DKV program in North Sumatra to require students to complete their final projects through an Art Gallery format. This exhibition serves as both a final examination and a premier expression platform for design graduates. Prima Nusantara Vol. 2 embodies a cross-disciplinary spirit, blending the worlds of automotive, art, academia, and culture into a single, dynamic creative space.
Dean of the Faculty of Language and Communication, Dr. Dian Syahfitri, S.S., M.Hum., expressed pride in the DKV program's consistency in providing a high-class art appreciation space. "Prima Nusantara proves that design education at UNPRI goes beyond the classroom; it lives, exists, and speaks to the broader public," she stated. The Head of the DKV Program, Muhammad Fikri Akbar Zuhdi, S.Ds., M.Ds., ACP, emphasized the commitment to building a design ecosystem relevant to the creative industry and Indonesia's cultural heritage.
The exhibition's influence extended beyond the campus. On Wednesday (May 20, 2026), officials from the Medan City Government, including the Communication and Informatics Office (AI Division) and the Tourism Office (Creative Economy Division), visited the exhibition. This visit underscored the potential for collaboration between design education and the city's creative ecosystem.
As an institution dedicated to facilitating student talent, UNPRI encourages students to innovate and contribute meaningfully.
