FKIP UNPRI STUDENTS JOIN KAMU POETRY PROGRAM 91.6 FM UMSU M-RADIO

The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Prima Indonesia (FKIP UNPRI) made an achievement. On Saturday, May 18, 2018, 13 of its students were invited to appear on the program "Puisi Kamu" 91.6 FM UMSU M-Radio. Activities in this event include reading single poems, poetry recitals, poetry musicalization, and discussions about literature. FKIP UNPRI students who participate in this activity are under the auspices of the Bintang KOMPAK community, a literary forum that specializes in fostering students to be skilled in the art of writing and performing literature.
Maundyni Syafindra as the head of Bintang KOMPAK FKIP UNPRI said that the invitation to broadcast live poetry reading on the radio is expected to further motivate students to be active in literature. Students not only master literary theories, but must also take part in becoming literary practitioners. Become part of the main actors in popularizing literature in the midst of society.
The same thing was expressed by Dani Sukma Agus Setiawan, S.Pd., M.Pd as the supervisor who stated that the essence of literature is the act of glorifying oneself and others through literary work. "Students as agents of change are not just tasked with chasing academic grades. But rather becoming valuable in the academic realm. Through positive and intelligent activities, students are trained to be ready to face the future, one of which is through literature. From literature to nobility, through devotion and achievement."
Meanwhile, Dian Syahfitri., S.S., M.Hum as Dean of FKIP UNPRI said, "According to UNPRI's motto, 'The Best Choice', students must be able to choose the best thing to improve their competence. If interested in literature, of course participating in literary performances on campus or outside must be done. Because the work of students is not just studying, but also practicing the knowledge they gain on campus to the community. I really appreciate the activities of the Bintang KOMPAK FKIP UNPRI community and I hope it continues."
