UNPRI VISIT
National Taiwan Normal University and Kao Hsiung University Taiwan Offer Cooperation
The group from National Taiwan Normal University and Kao Hsiung University Taiwan, each consisting of MS Prof. Cai Ya Xun (Head of Department of Development Overseas Chinese Studying), Jen Shing Lin, PhD., (Chair/Associate Professor), Ya Hsun Tsai (Chair) and Joko Dharmanadi, Bsc (Chairman of the Citra Alumni Association of Taiwan Indonesia North Sumatra) visited Universitas Prima Indonesia (Unpri), Friday (13/2). The group was received directly by the Chairperson of Universitas Prima Indonesia, dr. I Nyoman Ehrich Lister, M.Kes., AIFM, Head of BPH Unpri Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn., Advisor to Unpri dr. Sofian Wijaya, M.H.A, Vice Chancellor I Seno Aji, S.Pd., M.Eng., Prac., Vice Dean of FE Unpri Hendry, S.E., M.M., Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Computer Science (FTIK) Unpri Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom., in the Multipurpose Room on the 5th Floor of Universitas Prima Indonesia Jalan Ayahanda Medan.
At the meeting, Unpri, represented by Vice Chancellor I Seno Aji, S.Pd., M.Eng., Prac., introduced the existence of Unpri, while showing the campus profile which was broadcasted in a short time. In the broadcast, it was clearly conveyed regarding Unpri's mission, namely to prepare quality higher education for the community in the fields of teaching, research, and community service, and to prepare a campus environment that is friendly to differences in gender, ethnicity, religion, culture, and creating an intellectual atmosphere on campus as a center for the development of science, as well as preparing the next generation of the nation who are qualified, skilled, ethical, and responsible, and competent according to the needs of the global market.
On the same occasion, Seno Aji, said that the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Unpri is also the only private medical faculty in North Sumatra that has its own (independent) teaching Hospital (RS).
The same thing was also conveyed by MS Prof Cai Ya Xun (Head of the Department of Development Overseas Chinese Studying), Jen Shing Lin, PhD (Chair/Associate Professor). At the meeting, this bespectacled woman introduced the National Taiwan Normal University. She said she was very happy to meet the extended family of Unpri, where Unpri is one of the Largest Universities in North Sumatra. In terms of education, we will open a network between Unpri and the best universities in Taiwan.
Therefore, his party is willing to support Unpri to become an international class university by conducting cooperation in education and teaching, research, exchanging lecturers and students, and making Unpri a center for Mandarin language studies in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Head of BPH Unpri Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn, Saturday (2/14) welcomed the cooperation offered by National Taiwan Normal University. "We really welcome the cooperation offered by National Taiwan Normal University, especially regarding the equipment used to make it easier for students in the Mandarin language program, namely AES-HAN Software," Tommy said convincingly.
In this case, said Tommy, his party will also make a return visit to National Taiwan Normal University and does not rule out the possibility of sending its students to the leading university in Taiwan.
Tommy also thanked the National Taiwan Normal University for being willing to facilitate Unpri, so that Unpri lecturers can get to know more closely the University in Taiwan that has used the digital system as explained.
The event ended with an exchange of souvenirs.
