Blood Donation to Commemorate the 58th Health Day
UNPRI Cooperation with PMI Medan City
In commemoration of the 58th National Health Day in 2022. Universitas Prima Indonesia together with the Indonesian Red Cross carried out a humanitarian project, namely Blood Donation. This event was held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the main campus hall of Universitas Prima Indonesia, Jalan Sampul 4.
This blood donation event is a form of collaboration between UNPRI and PMI Medan City, specifically PMI Medan Petisah District
Before the implementation of the Blood Donation, the event was opened by WR III UNPRI Said Rizal, S.HI., M.A. He hopes that this event can be held routinely within a period of 2/3 months.
The event continued with the signing of the MOU for cooperation between PMI Medan City and 8 deans from each faculty at UNPRI which was documented through a photo session.
The Blood Donation event took place from 08.00-12.00 WIB and succeeded in exceeding the initial target of 100 bags.
Blood donation itself has been medically proven to have a positive impact on the health of donors, including: Losing weight, protecting the heart, increasing red blood cells, preventing strokes, improving psychological health, renewing new blood cells, preventing the risk of rare diseases, reducing the risk of cancer, increasing blood production, the mind becomes more stable, lowering cholesterol.
"A drop of blood that we give to people in need can mean saving someone else's life," said Danil Ferawan, chairman of PMI Medan Petisah who attended the event directly at the Main Hall of the UNPRI Campus
