UNPRI Public Health Lecturer, Muhammad Aditya Kurnia, SKM., MPH., Ph.D., Invited to Teach at the Leading Medical University Rawalpindi Medical University, Pakistan
UNPRI Lecturer, Dr. Muhammad Aditya Kurnia, SKM., MPH., Ph.D., was invited as a Guest Lecturer at Rawalpindi Medical University, Pakistan, One of the Leading Medical Universities in South Asia.
UNPRI, Medan – Another remarkable achievement was made by Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI). One of its distinguished lecturers from the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences (FKKGIK), Dr. Muhammad Aditya Kurnia, SKM., MPH., Ph.D., received a prestigious invitation to teach the course “Health Policy and Management” in the postgraduate program at Rawalpindi Medical University, Pakistan.
The official invitation was sent directly by Dr. Majid Yousafzai, Director of Public Health at Rawalpindi Medical University, via email on behalf of the university’s Faculty of Public Health.
This international academic program was conducted online, with Dr. Aditya entrusted to provide postgraduate students with in-depth insights into global health policy and management. For Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU), Dr. Aditya’s participation was a great honor, as he is recognized for his outstanding academic record, research contributions, and expertise in public health policy and management. Among numerous Indonesian academics, he was considered the most ideal figure to inspire postgraduate students in Pakistan.
“This invitation is not only a personal appreciation but also a recognition of UNPRI’s academic excellence at the international level,” said Dr. Aditya, who earned his Ph.D. in Health Sciences from China. “I feel proud and grateful that the performance and dedication of Indonesian lecturers, especially from UNPRI, are acknowledged by foreign universities known for their selectivity in education and healthcare. I hope this opens doors for other UNPRI lecturers to contribute internationally,” he added.
UNPRI’s reputation as a leading university with “Excellent” institutional accreditation continues to grow toward achieving World Class University status. Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes., AIFO-K. as Rector, UNPRI actively fosters international collaborations in education, research, and community service. One notable partnership is the establishment of the UNPRI Stem Cell Laboratory in collaboration with two Malaysian researchers: Dr. Muh Busra Fauzi from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and Dr. Daniel Looi Qi Hao from Cytohealth, Malaysia.
Furthermore, through the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences (FKKGIK), led by Prof. Dr. dr. H. Gusbakti Rusip, M.Sc., Sp.KKLP(K)., PKK., AIFM., AIFO-K., UNPRI is recognized as the private university in Indonesia with the largest number of Specialist Medical Education Programs (PPDS), offering seven specializations: Family Medicine, Radiology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy, and Internal Medicine. This achievement demonstrates UNPRI’s commitment to producing globally competitive medical professionals and researchers with a foundation in socio-technopreneurship and modern information technology.
As a comparison, Rawalpindi Medical University is a prestigious public medical university in Pakistan, established in 1974, affiliated with leading teaching hospitals such as Holy Family Hospital, Benazir Bhutto Hospital, and DHQ Hospital Rawalpindi. Meanwhile, UNPRI owns seven teaching hospitals located in North Sumatra and Jambi Provinces and will soon establish a similar facility in Riau Province to support its off-campus programs (PSDKU) for Bachelor of Medicine, Professional Doctor, and Master of Health, based in Pekanbaru City.
Currently, there are six study programs under UNPRI’s PSDKU: Bachelor of Medicine, Professional Doctor, Master of Health, Bachelor of Management, Bachelor of Psychology, and Bachelor of Information Systems. Through this academic collaboration between Indonesia and Pakistan, UNPRI once again proves itself as one of Indonesia’s leading universities recognized by the international academic community.
