Witnessed by the Chairperson of PDSKKI Indonesia, UNPRI Officially Hands Over PPDS Sp.KKLP to Royal Prima General Hospital Medan
Strengthening the Quality of UNPRI’s PPDS Sp.KKLP Program in Accordance with the National Standards of Family Medicine Education
Medan, December 6, 2025 – Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) conducted the official ceremony for the Handover of the Primary Care Family Medicine Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS Sp.KKLP) to Royal Prima General Hospital (RSU Royal Prima Medan). The event proceeded in an orderly manner and marks an important step in ensuring the implementation of specialist education based on primary care runs according to national standards.
The event began with the singing of the Indonesian National Anthem and was followed by the screening of the Company Profile of UNPRI and RSU Royal Prima as an introduction to the institutions' vision, mission, and achievements in primary care medical education. The atmosphere of the event was formal and reflected a strong commitment to maintaining the quality of the specialist education program in accordance with the provisions of PDSKKI Indonesia. This ceremony holds strategic value as it was directly witnessed by the Chair of PDSKKI Indonesia, Dr. dr. Isti Ilmiati Fujiati, M.Sc., CM-FM, Sp.KKLP., Subsp., COPC. In her speech, she affirmed that the handover of the PPDS is a crucial stage that ensures participants receive credible and standardized clinical placements in accordance with the National Standard for Family Medicine Education.
On behalf of UNPRI, the Dean of the UNPRI Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Prof. Dr. dr. H. Gusbakti Rusip, M.Sc., Sp.KKLP., Subsp.FOMC(K)., PKK., AIFM., AIFO-K., delivered remarks. He underscored that the placement of PPDS participants at RSU Royal Prima is an important phase in the formation of clinical competence, professionalism, and the strengthening of primary care capabilities. Meanwhile, Dr. dr. Wienaldi, MKM, MQM, Sp.KKLP, Director of RSU Royal Prima Medan, conveyed the hospital's full readiness as an educational facility. He affirmed that modern clinical facilities, high service standards, and experienced supervisors have been prepared to ensure the optimal conduct of the education process.
The climax of the event occurred when the handover of the UNPRI PPDS Sp.KKLP participants to RSU Royal Prima Medan was officially carried out by both parties. This ceremony marks the commencement of the participants' clinical rotation within the hospital environment, while also ensuring that the curriculum and competencies applied are aligned with the standards set by PDSKKI Indonesia. The event then continued with academic guidance by Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, MKT., MKM., Sp.KKLP., Subsp., COPC., as the Head of the Sp.KKLP FKKG UNPRI Study Program, who emphasized the importance of integrity, empathy, and a comprehensive family and community-based approach in the clinical practice of family doctors. The activity concluded with a documentation session and a joint discussion between the PPDS participants, supervisors, and hospital representatives.
