Partnering with Alliance Française Medan, FBK UNPRI Strengthens French Language and Cultural Development
Expanding International Networks and Equipping Students with Global Multilingual Competencies
Medan, May 25, 2026 — The Faculty of Language and Communication (FBK) at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) has expanded its international network through a strategic meeting with Alliance Française (AF) Medan on Monday (May 25, 2026). Held at the UNPRI Main Campus, this partnership aims to integrate collaboration in language development and cross-cultural exchanges between Indonesia and France.
The Alliance Française delegation included AF Medan Vocational Instructor Sylvain Lelong Lacroix, Campus France Medan Officer Nur Hidayah, and AF Medan Academic Coordinator Ghea Panjaitan. They were welcomed by UNPRI Vice Rector IV Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, M.K.T., M.K.M., Sp.KKLP(K)., FBK Dean Dr. Dian Syahfitri, S.S., M.Hum., and faculty heads.
UNPRI Vice Rector IV emphasized that this partnership will be implemented through concrete Tridharma activities. "We anticipate student exchange programs, where UNPRI students may continue studies in France and French students may study at UNPRI. As an initial step, we will introduce French language classes for students, following the success of our previous Mandarin language programs," he stated.
FBK Dean, Dr. Dian Syahfitri, views this as a strategic momentum for two-way partnership development. Beyond French language competency, FBK highlights the potential to develop the BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) program to introduce Indonesian culture globally. As an excellently accredited university, UNPRI is committed to facilitating student talent to ensure they remain competitive on the global stage.
