UNPRI Strengthens Economic Empowerment and Public Health through Community Service in Padangsidimpuan
UNPRI Academics Provide Strategic Guidance for MSMEs and Promote Healthy Lifestyles for Muslimat NU
Medan, June 18, 2026 — Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) continues to expand its academic impact across North Sumatra by conducting MSME training and community service activities in Padangsidimpuan City. This initiative, held from June 14–16, 2026, at the Padangsidimpuan MUI Hall, demonstrates the strong synergy between UNPRI, Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) of Padangsidimpuan, and the Padangsidimpuan City PKK.
Under the theme "Socialization of Law Number 2 of 2026 regarding MSME Development and Healthy Living," UNPRI deployed a multidisciplinary team of academics to provide practical guidance to hundreds of participants. The UNPRI team was led by Prof. Sri Sulistyawati, S.H., M.Si., Ph.D., accompanied by experts Ir. Robert Tua Siregar, M.Si., Ph.D., Dr. Sofiyan, S.E., M.M.A., Togar Timbul Gultom, S.T., M.T., and Dr. Iwan Setiawan, S.H., M.H., with Sri Rahayu, S.H. serving as moderator.
During the event, UNPRI provided comprehensive training ranging from business development strategies to improve the competitiveness of local MSMEs, to in-depth education on healthy living as a foundation for family prosperity. The presence of UNPRI academics was warmly received, with local government representatives praising the university’s expertise for offering relevant and highly practical insights for the Padangsidimpuan community.
Chairwoman of Muslimat NU Padangsidimpuan, Rohayati Masdion Iskandar, S.Pd., emphasized that the collaboration with UNPRI significantly adds value to the organization. "UNPRI's competent and experienced resources have been instrumental in strengthening women's capacity in economic and social development," she said. Beyond economic and health education, the event also provided a platform for law enforcement partners to discuss the role of families in protecting the younger generation from drug abuse.
