Prima Group Big Family Holds Iftar Gathering with 30 Orphanages Across Medan City
A Tangible Form of Social Solidarity and Prima Group's Commitment to Sharing Blessings during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Medan – The Prima Group family held its annual Iftar gathering with children from 30 orphanages across Medan on Friday (Mar 6, 2026), at the Main Hall of Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI). Under the theme "Together in Blessing, United in Kindness," this event is a routine annual activity held by Prima Group every holy month of Ramadan as a form of social responsibility and care for others.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Daily Governing Board of Prima Group, Prof. Dr. Tommy Leonard, the board of directors, Vice Rector III of UNPRI Dr. Refi Ikhtiari, Vice Rector IV of UNPRI Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, President Director of RSK Mata Prima Vision Dr. dr. Muhammad Faridz Syahrian, and representatives from 30 orphanages across Medan.
Vice Rector III of UNPRI, Dr. Refi Ikhtiari, stated that the event was followed by 30 orphanages. "We are grateful to hold this event again. It's not just about sharing food, but also sharing love and attention," he said. Besides the Iftar, Prima Group provided food packages and donations for the orphanages' operational needs. The event featured a Ramadan sermon by Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Qorib, who shared a message about the importance of sharing. "Ramadan is a blessed month that teaches us to care for others in need," he explained.
Chairman of BPH Prima Group, Prof. Dr. Tommy Leonard, emphasized that this event has a deep meaning. "Ramadan is about building social concern and strengthening togetherness. We hope the children feel warmth and know they are not alone," he said. This reflects UNPRI's spirit to continue to innovate in implementing Sociotechnopreneurship values within society. He added that sharing is not just about material things, but also time and attention, ensuring UNPRI produces competent and high-quality graduates with high social souls.
