ISTN Jakarta Visits UNPRI

Rector of the National Institute of Science and Technology (ISTN) Jakarta Prof. Ir. Agus Priyono, Ph.D., Director of Postgraduate Program iSTN Prof. Dr. Ir. Dahmir Dahlan, Secretary of Postgraduate Program ISTN Ir. M Firdaus, M.T., and entourage visited Universitas Prima Indonesia, Wednesday (22/4). The entourage was welcomed directly by the Head of BPH Unpri Dr. Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn., Vice Rector I Seno Aji, S.Pd., M.Eng., Prac., Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Computer Science Unpri Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom., along with the ranks of the Unpri Rectorate on the 5th Floor of the Royal Prima Hospital, Jalan Yahanda Medan.

"This visit is one of a series of ISTN Jakarta activities, in preparation for The 3rd International Seminar 'Innovation Research for Science, Technology and Culture (IRSTC), which will be held at the Banda Aceh Polytechnic on 24-27 November", said the Head of BPH Unpri Dr Tommy Leonard, S.H., M.Kn.

Tommy said, as a university that is developing rapidly, Unpri was given the trust by ISTN Jakarta, to be actively involved in the committee of the international scientific event

So, said Tommy, in the near future, the Web Design and Animation Competition with the theme "Smart City" for universities throughout North Sumatra, which will be held by Unpri in collaboration with the IRSTC committee that has been appointed by ISTN Jakarta.

Tommy also mentioned that in line with that, in order to realize Unpri as a campus that carries the tagline "The Smart University", discussions about cooperation between ISTN and Unpri, have been agreed to synergize in terms of developing competency-based education and superior research, developing cooperation with third parties such as the government, companies and foreign universities, as well as developing research themes, within the framework of Indonesia's readiness towards the 2015 ASEAN Economic Community.

At the end of the visit, Tommy promised to immediately follow up by signing the MoU and a return visit to ISTN Jakarta.

"Hopefully in the future there will be a good relationship and positive synergy between the two parties to improve the quality of education and research in Indonesia in general," said Tommy while hoping.

Agus Priyono, Ph.D., Director of Postgraduate Program iSTN Prof. Dr. Ir. Dahmir Dahlan, Secretary of Postgraduate Program ISTN Ir. M Firdaus, M.T., and entourage.
