UNPRI Lecturers and Students Win 2016 Medan City Scientific Writing Competition
MEDAN (Portibi DNP):: Hartono, a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics (FE) Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) and Alex Simanjuntak, a student at FE UNPRI, won the 2016 Medan City Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI), held by the Medan City Research and Development Agency. In the competition, Hartono won third place and Alex Simajuntak won first place. And, this competition was held in the context of National Technology Awakening Day.
Head of Medan City Research and Development Agency represented by Secretary of Research and Development Agency Dra Siti Maharani Hasibuan at the awarding ceremony for the LKTI winners said that her party greatly appreciated all LKTI competition participants who had provided ideas and concepts related to the use of information technology.
Siti also said that the Medan City Government always strives to strengthen the science-based innovation system, to realize the vision of Medan City to become a multicultural, competitive, humanist, prosperous and religious city of the future.
Along with the rapid development of information technology, she said, Medan City will also move towards a Smart City, namely an intelligent city that provides convenience for the community to obtain information quickly and accurately, without abandoning the values as a civilized and dignified nation. In a separate place, the Head of BPH UNPRI Dr. Tommy Leonard SH MKn greatly appreciated the achievements of UNPRI lecturers and students, who managed to win the 2016 Medan City Scientific Writing Competition, held by the Medan City Research and Development Agency.
"This is one proof that UNPRI always improves the quality and standard of education," said this North Sumatra education figure convincingly. Tommy hopes that the achievements of UNPRI lecturers and students can motivate other students to continue to work, to give their best work.
In this case, said Tommy, his party always tries to facilitate its students in various fields of competition. Of course, coaching on campus where students study is the main thing in supporting positive student activities. This is also in line with UNPRI's goal to produce quality output/graduates. P08
