Unpri Helps Continue Education
Universitas Prima Indonesia (Unpri) provides scholarships for the 2016 Academic Year to a number of underprivileged but high-achieving students. The scholarship is given so that the students in question can continue their education.
Unpri Founder, I Nyoman EIicther said, the provision of this scholarship is a form of concern and implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education for underprivileged students. This scholarship is routinely given every year to underprivileged students and also children from orphanages.
"This scholarship is in order to reduce poverty rates. Because, by providing the scholarship, underprivileged but high-achieving students can pursue their education to undergraduate level. While for the children from orphanages, of course, it lightens their burden, and they can continue their education," said I Nyoman, at a scholarship purchase gathering at the Multipurpose Room of the Royal Prima Hospital, Jalan Ayahanda Medan, Thursday (29/9). The event was also attended by the Head of BPH Unpri Tommy Leonard, the Rector of Unpri Prof. Djakobus Tarigan, the Vice Rector 1 of Unpri Seno Aji, the Head of the Committee H. Hilman Haidir, the deans, and their staff.
On that occasion, I Nyoman hoped that the scholarships provided could be utilized optimally by the children of the next generation of the nation. Through this scholarship, it is hoped that those who receive it will be able to become role models, both in academics, discipline, especially in ethics or manners. "Many people who have the predicate of students, but their manners are very low. Their speech is rude, reckless, and not worth listening to. So, those who receive this scholarship, continue to study and pursue your dreams. Never waste the opportunity that exists," he concluded
