UNPRI Pekanbaru Campus Inaugurates the Indonesian Stock Exchange Investment Gallery and Holds a National Capital Markets Seminar

Pekanbaru, Prima Indonesia University (UNPRI) Pekanbaru Campus officially opened the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) Investment Gallery, as an effort to introduce the world of capital markets to students and the general public.

The inauguration event took place on Thursday (28/11/2024) at 14.00 WIB. At the inauguration of the Indonesian Stock Exchange Investment Gallery, there was also a National Capital Markets Seminar.

This event was attended by a number of important figures, including the Director of UNPRI Pekanbaru Campus, Dr. Salim Aktar, M.Pd, Head of Market Development Division of PT Bursa Efek Indonesia Dedy Priadi, Head of Division of PT Korea Investment and Sekuritas Indonesia Agastya Yoga Swara, Executive Trainer of IDX Riau Representative Office Haldo Haibatil Qudrah Hanafi, and Gallery Manager of PT Korea Investment and Sekuritas Indonesia Pekanbaru Branch Nugroho Gatot Prasetio.

In his speech, Dr. Salim Aktar, M.Pd., expressed his pride in the establishment of this Investment Gallery.

"The inauguration of the Indonesian Stock Exchange Investment Gallery is a concrete step for UNPRI Pekanbaru Campus in providing financial education to students and the surrounding community. We hope that this gallery will become a learning center, a place for students to understand the world of capital markets, and prepare themselves as a generation of intelligent and wise investors. "We are also grateful for the support from BEI and PT Korea Investment and Sekuritas Indonesia in realizing this initiative," said Dr. Salim.

After the inauguration, the national seminar began with a presentation from Haldo Haibatil Qudrah Hanafi, Executive Trainer for the IDX Riau Representative Office. In his presentation, Haldo discussed Capital Market Fundamentals and Investment Opportunities for Beginners.

He emphasized the importance of financial literacy among the younger generation, especially students, to build an investment culture from an early age.

Next, Nugroho Gatot Prasetio, Gallery Manager of PT Korea Investment and Sekuritas Indonesia Pekanbaru Branch, Nugroho, explained various digital tools that can be used to invest in shares easily and safely, as well as discussing the prospects for investing in shares amidst the growing financial technology trend. .

This event ended with an interactive discussion session, where participants were given the opportunity to ask questions directly to the speakers. This activity not only provides new insights to students, but also opens up opportunities for wider collaboration between UNPRI Pekanbaru Campus and the capital markets industry.

With the BEI Investment Gallery at the UNPRI Pekanbaru Campus, it is hoped that more students will be encouraged to get involved in the world of investment, increase their understanding of the capital market, and take smart steps in managing their finances in the future.
