Brainstorming Session: Formulating Collaborative Ideas and Strategies
Building a shared vision through collaborative ideas and results-oriented strategies
UNPRI, Medan – In an effort to strengthen inter-institutional collaboration and enhance the quality of academic activities, the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) organized a Brainstorming Session titled “Formulating Collaborative Ideas and Strategies.” The event, held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Prima Sky Restaurant, Café & Lounge, took place in a relaxed yet intellectually engaging atmosphere, attended by distinguished academics from various leading universities in Indonesia.
The session featured Prof. Drs. Poltak Sihombing, M.Kom., Ph.D. from Universitas Sumatera Utara, Arjon Turnip, Ph.D. from Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung, and Dr. Mardi Turnip, S.Kom., M.Kom. from the Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, UNPRI. These academicians discussed strategies to strengthen the synergy between research and community service (PkM), the two core pillars of the university’s tri dharma mission.
The discussion focused on strategies for planning collaborative research, enhancing scientific publication outcomes, and developing community engagement models that provide tangible social impact. The participants also emphasized the importance of leveraging digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to support sustainable multidisciplinary research and strengthen academic collaboration networks nationwide.
Through this forum, the Faculty of Science and Technology of UNPRI generated innovative ideas ready for practical implementation. The session not only served as a platform for sharing experiences and insights but also as a bridge to reinforce academic collaboration among higher education institutions in advancing research excellence and social contribution.
