Graduating First Batch of Family Medicine and Radiology Specialists: FKKG UNPRI Solidifies Position as Leading Medical Faculty in North Sumatra

Medan, August 26, 2026 — The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FKKG) at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) marked a monumental milestone by hosting its August 2026 Judiciary Ceremony at the UNPRI Main Hall on Wednesday (August 26, 2026). A total of 158 students across nine study programs—spanning Bachelor, Master, Specialist, and Doctoral levels—officially fulfilled all academic requirements. This ceremony is FKKG UNPRI’s most historic event, highlighted by the graduation of the inaugural batch of medical specialists from two specialty programs independently hosted by the faculty.
The solemn ceremony was attended by FKKG UNPRI Dean Prof. Dr. dr. H. Gusbakti Rusip, M.Sc., Sp.KKLP., Subsp.FOMC(K)., PKK., AIFM., AIFO-K.; Vice Dean I Dr. dr. Irza Haicha Pratama, M.K.M.; Vice Dean II Dr. dr. Linda Chiuman, M.K.M., M.Biomed., Sp.K.K.L.P.; Vice Dean III drg. Susanto, M.Kes.; department chairs, and academic staff.
The graduating cohort comprises 3 graduates from the Maritime, Sports, and Aviation Medicine Specialist (KKLP) program, 3 from Radiology Specialist, 13 Doctors of Medical Science, 63 Masters of Public Health, 59 Masters of Biomedical Science, 13 Masters of Clinical Medicine, 1 Master of Dental Science, 1 Master of Tropical Medicine, and 2 Bachelors of Medicine, bringing the total to 158 graduates.
The crowning achievement of this judiciary is the graduation of the first batch of KKLP and Radiology specialists. This milestone establishes FKKG UNPRI as one of the premier medical schools in Sumatra capable of independently delivering specialist medical education and producing top-tier practitioners.
In his address, Dean Prof. Dr. dr. H. Gusbakti Rusip expressed immense pride. "Graduating the first batch of KKLP and Radiology specialists at FKKG UNPRI proves that we do not merely talk about medical education—we demonstrate it by producing specialists ready to serve the nation," he asserted.
