Modernizing Digital Dental Services: FKKG UNPRI Successfully Holds Prima Dentistry VII National Seminar.
Hosting The Largest Modern Digital Dentistry Scientific Forum In Sumatra
Medan, October 16–17, 2026 — The Dentistry and Dental Professional Education Study Programs at the Faculty of Dentistry (FKKG) Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) successfully hosted Prima Dentistry VII—a National Seminar themed "Digital Dentistry: Digitalization and Efficiency in Modern Dental Practice"—at the Main Hall and Mini Hall of the UNPRI Main Campus on Friday and Saturday (Oct 16–17, 2026). This prestigious event marks the first full-scale return of *Prima Dentistry* since the COVID-19 pandemic, drawing approximately 500 participants from various dental professional backgrounds.
The grand opening ceremony in the Main Hall was graced by top university leadership, including UNPRI Vice Rector I Dr. Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom., FITPM, FITAR, AITSP, MCF, MTCNA, MTCRE; Vice Rector II Prof. Dr. Ermi Girsang, M.Kes., M.Biomed., AIFO.; Vice Rector III Dr. Refi Ikhtiari, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D.; Vice Rector IV Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, M.K.T., M.K.M., Sp.KKLP(K)., Subsp.COPC.; FKKG UNPRI Dean Prof. Dr. dr. H. Gusbakti Rusip, M.Sc., Sp.KKLP(K)., PKK., AIFM., AIFO-K along with faculty leadership; and UNPRI Dental Hospital (RSGM) Director drg. Florenly, M.H.S.M., M.P.H., C.Ort., FICCDE. Also in attendance were Indonesian Dental Association (PDGI) Central Board Chairman drg. Agus Mulyadi, Medan PDGI Branch Chairman drg. Ranu Putra Armidin, M.K.M., and Deli Serdang PDGI Branch Chairman drg. Kesuma Hadiwibowo, M.K.M.
In his address, UNPRI Vice Rector IV expressed appreciation to all committee members, invited guests, and keynote speakers. "This seminar is designed to map out challenges and opportunities within the era of digitalization and artificial intelligence in dentistry. UNPRI remains committed to producing exceptional and relevant oral health professionals through active collaboration with partners and experts as an Impactful University," he stated.
The two-day *Prima Dentistry VII* agenda featured three main pillars: a National Seminar featuring 11 expert speakers, Hands-On Workshops conducted by 8 seasoned practitioners, and Scientific Competitions for academics and students. Additionally, the Dental Exhibition showcased 12 premier sponsors and partners from the dental healthcare industry, including Envista, Kerr, CTBA, DIA, Ferron, Haleon, Zirmon Dental Atelie, COBRA Dental, Pacific Dental, Interbat Dental, Integra, and Angel Aligner.
The triumphant return of *Prima Dentistry* after a pandemic-induced hiatus reinforces FKKG UNPRI's readiness to spearhead scientific dialogue and clinical best practices in North Sumatra, championing digital transformation that shapes the future of modern dentistry in Indonesia.
