Succeeding National Strategic Programs: Directorate General of Plantations Monitors BPDP Recipients at UNPRI Agriculture Faculty.
Directly Verifying Campus Palm Oil Industry Scholarship Student Recipients.
Medan, October 23, 2026 — The Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) welcomed an assessor delegation from the Directorate General of Estates Crops for a Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of the Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) Scholarship. The strategic event took place in the 10th Floor Grand Meeting Room of the UNPRI Main Campus on Jalan Sampul, Medan, featuring two central assessors evaluating the execution of the Palm Oil Plantation Human Resource (PKS) Scholarship Program at UNPRI.
The event was graced by UNPRI Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Information Systems, and Student Affairs Dr. Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom., FITPM, FITAR, AITSP, MCF, MTCNA, MTCRE, Faperta UNPRI Dean Dr. Suratni Afrianti, S.T., M.Si., alongside the Heads of the Agribusiness and Agrotechnology Study Programs. The evaluation involved 12 PKS scholarship recipients from cohorts 2023 through 2026 across both study programs.
The evaluation agenda comprised three main sessions: document verification to ensure the completeness and validity of scholarship documents, in-depth interviews to assess student academic progress and achievements throughout the program, and a campus tour to showcase Faperta UNPRI’s state-of-the-art learning facilities directly to the assessor team.
UNPRI Vice Rector I emphasized that the BPDP scholarship program forms part of the national strategic agenda fully backed by the institution. "UNPRI is committed to being a trusted government partner in developing competent and competitive palm oil plantation human resources. Today's visit is an opportunity to demonstrate that this scholarship management trust is executed seriously, measurably, and with tangible impact," he stated.
Meanwhile, Faperta UNPRI Dean Dr. Suratni Afrianti added that PKS scholarship recipients receive not only financial backing but also rigorous academic mentoring to become expert plantation professionals ready to face national palm oil industry challenges. "We educate them not just to graduate, but to become part of the solution for Indonesia's plantation sector," she noted.
