UNPRI Pharmacist Professional Education Produces New Pharmacists

Medan - Pharmacists must be able to be problem solvers related to drug problems in the community, because only pharmacists have the competence related to drug problems.

This was conveyed by the Chairperson of the Indonesian College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (KIFI), represented by Prof.apt.Fatma Sri Wahyuni, Ph.D., at the swearing-in ceremony of Pharmacists Class I of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (FKKGIK) Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI), Tuesday (24/9/2024) at the Main Hall of the UNPRI Campus, Jln.Sampul no 3 Medan.

Dean of FKKGIK UNPRI Prof. Dr. dr. H. Gusbakti Rusip, M.Sc., Sp.KKLP (K)., PKK., AIFM., AIFO-K, in his speech said that all study programs at UNPRI including Pharmacist Professional Education will be encouraged to obtain superior accreditation.

The event took place solemnly, the graduation report was read by Vice Dean I Dr.dr.Linda Chiuman, M.Biomed., M.K.M. Then continued with the oath-taking led directly by the Head of the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program apt.Razoki, S.Si., M.Kes., M.Biomed., M.H, and the signing of the pharmacist oath letter witnessed directly by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Pharmacist Association, apt.Noffendri, S.Si. accompanied by the Head of the Regional Management of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (PD IAI) of North Sumatra Drs. apt.Agustama, M.Kes.

This event was also attended by the Head of the Medan City Branch of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association, apt.Asyrun Alkhairi Lubis, S.Farm.,M.Farm, vice deans and teaching staff at FKKGIK. Before the closing of the session, the Head of the Study Program submitted the names of 18 new pharmacists to the Head of PD IAI of North Sumatra for further development.
