UNPRI Supports the Achievements of Students with Socio-preneurial, Adaptive, Innovative, Inspirational, and Superior Spirits Appearing at RRI Pro 2 Medan

UNPRI, Medan - Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) continues to demonstrate its commitment as a private university that encourages the birth of a socio-preneurial, adaptive, innovative, inspiring, and superior generation. Full support is given to every student in achieving academic and non-academic achievements, including two outstanding students from the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery who recently brought honor to the university at the 2025 North Sumatra Prince and Princess pageant. Kevin Sahat Lingga, a Nursing student, won the second runner-up title for both the 2025 North Sumatra Prince and the 2025 Friendship Prince, while Santa Grace Sidabutar, a Midwifery student, was crowned Miss North Sumatra 2025 and the 2025 Friendship Princess.
Their stories of passionate and dedicated struggles were shared live on RRI Pro 2 FM Medan (92.4 FM) on Tuesday (August 5, 2025) through the Sore Ceria program with presenter Argun. In the session, Kevin and Santa Grace shared their experiences overcoming anxiety and worry, turning them into strengths when performing in public, ultimately achieving their distinctions. Their mastery of public speaking is an added value that inspires many listeners, especially the younger generation. This activity was facilitated by the UNPRI campus, as a form of concrete support for developing students' potential in various fields.
Also present during the live broadcast was Haposan Lumbantoruan, S.Pd., M.Psi., representing Refi Ikhtiari, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice Rector III for Student Affairs. Haposan expressed his pride in the achievements of the two students, especially as they will represent North Sumatra at the national level in Jakarta. "This achievement has brought UNPRI's name to greater national recognition, and we hope they can achieve even greater heights," said Haposan.
Also present was Datok Yan Djuna, Head of Marketing Communications at UNPRI. Similarly, Datok Yan Djuna emphasized the importance of improving students' public speaking skills, particularly in the competition, which assesses three main aspects: brains, beauty, and behavior. He also emphasized the importance of broadening global perspectives, honing knowledge, and mastering foreign languages to face the challenges of national competition. "Thank you for bringing honor to UNPRI's name at the national level. We are sure that UNPRI's Rector, Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes., is very proud of this achievement," he said.
UNPRI is currently continuing to improve the quality of learning through the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum and providing excellent service to the entire academic community. With "Excellent" accreditation status and currently working towards international accreditation, UNPRI is one of the leading private universities in Indonesia. This university is also listed as a private university with the largest number of specialist medical education programs (PPDS) in Indonesia, including primary family medicine, radiology, ophthalmology, cardiology and vascular medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, anesthesia, and internal medicine (internism).
