The Pharmacist Profession Study Program, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmacist Medicine, University of Pristina, held a community service program through a Pharmacist Professional Internship.
The Pharmacist Profession Study Program, FKKGIK UNPRI, held community service through professional work practices, increasing awareness of the safe and rational use of drugs.
In order to enhance public understanding of the correct and proper use of medication and healthcare services, the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences (FKKGIK) of Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI), through the Professional Pharmacist Education Program, held a Community Service activity via the Pharmacist Professional Practice Program (PKPA) at Prima Vision Eye Speciality Hospital on October 22-24, 2025. The activity provided Medication Information Services (PIO), especially on eye medication, to patients waiting in the waiting room.
PKPA Supervisor, who is also the Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Study Program, apt. Razoki, S.Si., M.Kes., M.Biomed., M.H., said that this activity aims to provide Medication Information Services (PIO) for patient safety, emphasizing the importance of rational and safe medication use. Pharmacists, as healthcare professionals, play an essential role in providing information and education to the public about the proper use of medications.
“Through the PKPA program, students from the Professional Pharmacist Education Program (PSPPA) at UNPRI, including Nazla Khairunnisa Lubis, Hidmad Elsi Enoni Harefa, Sri Devi Alftriani, Rizkya Adinda Nasution, Keytrin Amazihono (Miss UNPRI 2024), and Gerhart Frengki Hardian Harefa, can apply their knowledge and skills in providing healthcare services to the community. They will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and high-quality healthcare services,” said Razoki.
In a separate interview, the Head of the PSPPA Program, apt. Vera Estefania Kaban, S.Farm., M.Farm, stated that this activity is part of the implementation of the Three Pillars of Higher Education, particularly community service.
“We hope that this activity will benefit the community and raise awareness about the importance of proper medication use for effective therapy and patient safety,” Vera concluded.
