North Sumatra Language Ambassador and North Sumatra Language Center Hold Language Strengthening Activities at UNPRI Campus

Medan, Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) hosted the implementation of the Language Strengthening Krida for Campus Literacy Activists, which was held by the North Sumatra Language Ambassador together with the North Sumatra Provincial Language Center, Sunday (22/9/2024) at the UNPRI Campus, Jln. Sampul No. 3 Medan.

The Krida implemented was divided into two activities, namely Indonesian speech training and making short films in regional languages. Each activity presents a resource person who is a practitioner to provide material and practice sessions for participants.

The target participants for this activity are 100 campus activists from various organizations and universities in the Medan and Deliserdang areas. This activity was officially opened by the Dean of FKIP UNPRI, Dr. Dian Syahfitri, M.Hum. In her speech, Dian Syahfitri said that this activity was very positive to ignite the spirit of the young generation, to be proud of the national language and to continue to preserve regional languages.

Also present and giving a speech, Head of General Sub-Division of BBPSU, Nofi Kristanto, S.H., According to him, this activity is a positive activity that welcomes young activists to maintain Indonesian as the national language and preserve regional languages.

Through this activity, it is hoped that the participation of the young generation to strengthen the priority of the national language and the preservation of regional languages in Indonesia can increase.

Aditya Novita Ananda from the Law Debate Community, Faculty of Law, University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra, Anjali Hindustani Simanjuntak from Suara USU Student Press UKM, Arin Moeda from UNIMED, expressed their gratitude to UNPRI for providing comfortable, complete and beautiful facilities.

"There are so many interesting spots. The first time I saw UNPRI, it was cool, The Best. In this speech training, we were given luxurious facilities. We hope that UNPRI can provide even better facilities. Hopefully UNPRI and Balai Bahasa for the next event can hold a more successful and smooth event," said Aditya Novita Ananda and Anjali Hindustani Simanjuntak.
