Prima Indonesia University Signs MoU with PT. Prima Andalan Resources

Medan – Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) and PT. Prima Andalan Sumberdaya signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Thursday (26/9/2024) at the UNPRI Campus, Jln. Sampul No.3 Medan.

The MoU in question contains an agreement on the Independent Campus Internship/Work Practice, and the distribution of UNPRI graduates to PT. Prima Andalan Sumberdaya.

The signing of the MoU was attended by Erik Gunawan as CEO of PT Prima Andalan Sumberdaya and Nurmansyah as Director. Meanwhile, Universitas Prima Indonesia was represented by Vice Rector IV Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, M.K.T., M.K.M., Sp.KKLP(K) COPC, then attended by the deans of faculties within Universitas Prima Indonesia.

It should be noted, according to the MBKM Internship policy from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, that every student must carry out an internship program in industry for a minimum of six months or one year.

Internships can be carried out outside the study program or according to the competency of the field of science. Therefore, an MoU is needed with the World of Business and Industry (DUDI), which is expected to provide students with the choice to do internships at DUDI, both locally, nationally or internationally.

The signing of the MoU with DUDI will open up opportunities for universities to increase internship placement options for students. This MoU will be continued in the form of an MoA, to be applied to all faculties at Universitas Prima Indonesia.

Vice Rector IV Dr.dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, M.K.T., M.K.M., Sp.KKLP(K) COPC said that cooperation with DUDI at home and abroad will bring various benefits, where all students in the UNPRI faculty environment will get the opportunity for paid international internship placements, as offered by DUDI in this MoU. Thus providing options for students to be able to carry out their internship programs. This activity indirectly increases the value of Study Program Accreditation in each faculty.
