UNPRI Chancellor Sends Off Clinical Pharmacy Undergraduate Students to Participate in the 11th Indonesian Pharmacy Olympiad in Padang

Medan - Chancellor of Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes, represented by Vice Chancellor II Prof. Dr. Ermi Girsang, M.Kes, saw off the departure of Clinical Pharmacy Undergraduate Students participating in the 11th Indonesian Pharmacy Olympiad (OFI XI) to Padang, which departs on October 31, 2024.

The Indonesian Pharmacy Olympiad or OFI is a forum to improve friendship, relations between Pharmacy students in Indonesia and test the abilities of Pharmacy students in terms of knowledge in the field of Pharmacy. The Olympiad will take place from 1 - 4 November 2024.

Separately, the Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Undergraduate Study Program apt. Razoki, S.Si., M.Kes., M.Biomed., M.H, said that this was the first time UNPRI Clinical Pharmacy participated in OFI and sent 6 students from semesters 3, 5 and 7.

"We selected them with UKMPPAI CBT questions, then we guided them for the three fields, namely SBA, CS and PS, 2 people in each field. Those who left were Shintjia Dewi Agustan, Monica Valerie, Gita Saraswati, Veronika Bertua Simanjuntak, Christina Amelia and Angelique Martha Aulia Anastasia Br Girsang", said Vice Rector II.

The farewell ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences Prof. Dr. dr. H. Gusbakti Rusip, M.Sc., Sp.KKLP (K)., PKK., AIFM., AIFO-K, the vice deans and lecturers of FKKGIK including Vice Dean II Dr. dr. Maya Sari Meutia, MKM., M.Biomed., Vice Dean IV Dr. drg. Susanto, M.Kes, and clinical pharmacy lecturers apt. Vera Estefania Kaban, S.Farm., M.Farm, and apt. Roy Indrianto Bangar, S.Farm., M.S.Farm., as the supervising lecturers and accompanying the students to Padang.

"Although this is our first time participating in OFI, we are optimistic that we will be able to compete with participants from various pharmaceutical universities throughout Indonesia," concluded the Head of the Undergraduate Clinical Pharmacy Study Program apt.
