French Comic Artist Joël Alessandra Gives Painting Tips to UNPRI Students at Tjong A Fie Mansion
Painting Amidst Cultural Heritage, UNPRI Students Gain Global Insight
Who is Joël Alessandra? Joël Alessandra is a French comic artist and illustrator known for his works, including Fikrie, Dikhil, and Fierte de Fer. He is currently touring various countries.
On Wednesday (06/18/2025), at one of the iconic historical buildings, Tjong A Fie Mansion, a painting and sketching activity with Joël Alessandra was held. The activity is part of his tour to various countries in the world. And in Indonesia it was held in the context of 75 years of Indonesia-France cooperation.
At Tjong A Fie Mansion, Joël Alessandra taught painting techniques and shared good practical tips. Enthusiasm was clearly visible from the participants including students of the Unggul Campus of Universitas Prima Indonesia, who proudly brought their works. And Joël Alessandra himself seemed to be mingling with all the participants
"We really enjoyed the painting activity carried out with the comic artist and illustrator Joël Alessandra, the painting activity, especially sketching with him, provided a memorable experience," said Suryavati, a second semester student of Visual Communication Design UNPRI
During the painting and sketching activity, all UNPRI students and other participants received a lot of valuable advice, input, and tips for the best painting results in the future.
