UNPRI Faculty of Economics PKKMB 2025: Grow with Ethics, Shine with Economics Festive with UNPRI Creative Student MSME Bazaar
The Faculty of Economics at UNPRI welcomes new students with a PKKMB program with the concepts of ethics, creativity, and entrepreneurship through a bazaar of student-created MSMEs.
Medan – The Faculty of Economics at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) held the 2025/2026 Academic Year Student Orientation Program (PKKMB) at the Main Hall, 10th floor of UNPRI Campus, on Thursday (September 18, 2025). Carrying the theme “Grow with Ethics, Shine with Economic,” the event was lively and full of enthusiasm. UNPRI’s Vice Rector III, Refi Ikhtiari, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., officially opened the program on behalf of the Rector, Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes. In his remarks, he warmly welcomed new students and expressed gratitude for their trust in choosing UNPRI as their place of study. He also emphasized the importance of studying diligently to become graduates needed by the nation, in line with UNPRI’s vision as a socio-technopreneurship campus.
The excitement of the freshmen was enhanced by the presence of the Student MSME Expo, organized by UNPRI Creative, which showcased various student-made products and brands. The expo provided a platform to introduce entrepreneurial potential from the very beginning, linking economic theory with real-world practice. The bazaar highlighted the Faculty of Economics’ role in producing graduates who excel not only academically but also in creativity, independence, and entrepreneurship.
The event was also attended by all Heads of Undergraduate Programs within the Faculty of Economics, including Management, Accounting, and Applied Mandarin for Business and Professional Communication. This year, the high interest among prospective students reaffirmed the Faculty of Economics as a top choice in the highly competitive higher education landscape of North Sumatra. Representing the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fajar Rezeki Ananda Lubis, S.E., M.S.M., was Bayu Wulandari, S.E., M.Si., Vice Dean I, who motivated new students to take their studies seriously in both theory and practice to achieve great success.
The PKKMB activities also involved Dr. Fenny Krisna Marpaung, S.E., M.Si., Vice Dean III, along with program heads, lecturers, and student mentors. The orientation included sessions on the Investment Gallery, UNPRI Creative, faculty organizational structure, study programs, academic administration services (BAA), Study Plan Card (KRS) simulation, dress codes, and student activities. Interactive games led by the committee and motivational sessions by the Consultant Education team, coordinated by Dr. Bambang Suwarno, S.E., M.M., added energy to the program.
Beyond academic introduction, PKKMB also emphasized ethics and discipline. Dr. Bayu Pratomo, S.S.T., M.P., Chair of the Ethics and Discipline Commission and Head of the Sexual Violence Prevention Task Force (PPKS), delivered a session on academic integrity and safety. He urged students to uphold integrity, understand regulations, and actively contribute to a safe, respectful campus environment. This session served as a foundation for students to grow with strong character.
UNPRI is widely recognized as one of the best and leading private universities in North Sumatra with national-level achievements. In addition to its popular undergraduate programs in Management and Accounting, the Faculty of Economics is also registered under LLDikti Region I with master’s programs in Management and Accounting, as well as a doctoral program in Management. The growing trust of society in UNPRI is reflected in its steadily increasing student numbers, including in the Faculty of Economics. PKKMB 2025 stands as proof of UNPRI’s commitment to producing ethical, competent, and competitive graduates ready to make their families and nation proud. (Yd).
