UNPRI and the Toba Regency Government Sign a Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Cooperation in Education, Research, and Community Service
Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) and the Toba Regency Government officially signed an MoU to strengthen the synergy of education, research, and community service for the advancement of the region and the nation.
Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) received a visit from a delegation of the Toba Regency Government. The meeting took place on Tuesday (November 11, 2025) at the UNPRI Main Meeting Room, Jl. Sampul No.3, Medan. The purpose of this visit was to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and establish collaboration in the fields of education, training, research, and community service.
The delegation from the Toba Regency Government was represented by Effendi Sintong P. Napitupulu, SE (Regent of Toba), Drs. Audi Murphy O. Sitorus, SH., M.Si (Vice Regent of Toba), dr. Freddi Seventry Sibarani, MKM (Head of the Toba District Health Office), Drs. Rikardo Hutajulu, M.Pd (Head of the Education, Youth and Sports Office of Toba), Dicky A. Tampubolon, S.Sos, MAP (Head of BKPSDM Toba), Saut Marulitua, S.STP (Head of Governance and Cooperation, Regional Secretariat of Toba), Samuel A.H. Lumbanraja, S.STP., MSP (Head of Economy and Natural Resources, Regional Secretariat of Toba), and other representatives of the Toba Regency Government.
Meanwhile, UNPRI was represented by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes, Vice Rector II Prof. Dr. Ermi Girsang, M.Kes., and Vice Rector IV Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, MKT, MKM, Sp.KKLP (K), along with deans from various faculties.
Rector Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes opened the morning meeting with a warm and enthusiastic speech. In her address, she presented UNPRI’s profile, achievements of its faculties and study programs, and emphasized the importance of cooperation opportunities, especially in community service as a tangible contribution of higher education to regional development and public welfare in Toba Regency.
“The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding marks an important step in building collaboration with the Toba Regency Government. We hope this partnership brings mutual benefits, especially in the field of community service,” said Prof. Dr. Chrismis Novalinda Ginting, M.Kes.
The Vice Regent of Toba, Drs. Audi Murphy O. Sitorus, SH., M.Si., also highlighted the significance of this partnership as a strategic step to accelerate social welfare and human development. He expressed hope that this collaboration will improve the quality of human resources who are both excellent and virtuous, in line with the vision of Toba Regency.
“A university is a treasury of knowledge. We believe this partnership will strengthen our cooperation and bring positive outcomes, especially in community service,” stated Vice Regent Drs. Audi Murphy O. Sitorus, SH., M.Si.
The event continued with the signing of the MoU, the presentation of traditional ulos cloths, and exchange of souvenirs between the two institutions. The giving of ulos and souvenirs symbolizes mutual respect and appreciation between Universitas Prima Indonesia and the Toba Regency Government. Through this moment, both institutions conveyed their shared values and aspirations to be upheld throughout the partnership.
The MoU signing between UNPRI and the Toba Regency Government marks the beginning of a close and supportive collaboration aimed at enhancing education quality, research, and community engagement. This initiative reflects sustainable synergy between academia and local government, serving as a catalyst for human resource development and regional progress toward a sustainable Indonesia.
