UNPRI and LLDIKTI Region I Host Academic Integrity Strengthening for Private Universities in North Sumatra
Featuring the Secretary of the Directorate General of Science and Technology, Reinforcing Scientific Integrity in Higher Education
Medan, June 26, 2026 — Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI), in collaboration with the Higher Education Service Institute (LLDIKTI) Region I North Sumatra, successfully hosted the "Strengthening Academic Integrity for Private Universities" event at the UNPRI Main Campus Ballroom, Thursday (June 25, 2026). This event served as a strategic forum to uphold honesty and scientific responsibility within higher education.
The exclusive event featured keynote speaker, Secretary of the Directorate General of Science and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) RI, Dr. M. Samsuri, S.Pd., M.T., IPU.. Notable attendees included Member of Commission X DPR RI dr. Sofyan Tan, Head of LLDIKTI Region I Prof. Drs. Saiful Anwar Matondang, M.A., Ph.D., and leaders of private universities across North Sumatra. UNPRI was represented by Vice Rector IV Dr. dr. Ali Napiah Nasution, M.K.T., M.K.M., Sp.KKLP(K)., Subsp.COPC.
In his opening remarks, the Head of LLDIKTI Region I, Prof. Drs. Saiful Anwar Matondang, M.A., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the synergy. "Thank you for the support and the facilities provided by UNPRI in organizing this event. This synergy is a contribution from UNPRI as one of the universities in North Sumatra in facilitating strategic forums for the advancement of higher education quality in our region," he said.
Dr. M. Samsuri further emphasized that academic integrity is the bedrock of higher education quality. This encompasses honesty in research, scientific objectivity, and moral responsibility for all faculty. The session continued with an interactive discussion on journal management to meet international indexing standards, drawing high enthusiasm from the participants.
