OVERVIEW

PUI PT Pain Detection is a multidisciplinary research center focused on creating innovative technologies for accurate pain assessment. With expertise from computer science, biomedicine, and psychology, the center aims to address challenges in subjective pain reporting by leveraging data-driven solutions. Research groups focus on:

• Infant Pain Detection

• Voice-Based Pain Analysis

Supported by modern tools like artificial intelligence, digital signal processing, and geospatial technologies, the center contributes both to academic excellence and real-world healthcare impact.

To become a leading multidisciplinary center in developing objective, accurate, and measurable pain detection technologies that contribute to precision medicine and patient-friendly healthcare innovation.

MISSION

1. To develop cutting-edge methodologies and technologies for pain detection through clinical and biomedical data analysis.
2. To integrate artificial intelligence and advanced data processing for real-time pain assessment.
3. To reduce dependency on subjective observation methods by introducing objective pain indicators.
4. To produce innovative and non-invasive solutions for early pain diagnosis.
5. To become a national reference in medical pain evaluation and provide solutions applicable to diverse populations, including infants.
6. To contribute to the prevention and management of chronic pain conditions.

HISTORY

Established in 2024 by decree of the Head of LPPM Universitas Prima Indonesia (No. 027/SK/LPPM/UNPRI/II/2025), PUI PT Pain Detection was formed as a strategic initiative under the Faculty of Science and Technology to support international accreditation, scientific excellence, and interdisciplinary innovation in healthcare technology.
