Medan – Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) held the Inauguration & Oath-Taking of Dentists for the Dentistry Profession Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, Saturday (21/9/2024) at the Mini Hall, 10th Floor, UNPRI Main Campus, Jln. Cover No. 3 Medan.
The inauguration and taking of the oath of dentistry for 8 dentists who have passed the results of the Dentistry Professional Program Student Competency Test (UKMP2DG), and are entitled to hold the title of drg, where the procession of the event was inaugurated by the dean and witnessed by religious leaders from the religions embraced by the graduates.
All participants attended the event until the end with full gratitude and joy. With this event, hopefully the dentist graduates of Universitas Prima Indonesia can devote themselves in various regions in Indonesia.
Dean Prof. Dr. dr. H. Gusbakti Rusip, M.Sc., Sp.KKLP(K)., PKK., AIFM., AIFO(K), in his speech said that UNPRI continues to improve competency tests for doctors or dentists who want to open a practice to get STR from KKI.
"Of course, the curriculum is in accordance with the DGI Decree which is updated every 5 years in accordance with the development of IPTEKDOK which is developing very rapidly, and it is necessary to hone skills and cognitive skills by attending conferences and workshops that are always available. Of course, with PP No. 53 of 2023, there are many changes to the education system for doctors and dentists," he said.
For this, UNPRI has prepared itself with its vision with Sociotechnopreneurships with independent and professional output (graduates), innovation and adaptation that are implemented in society and the government.
"It is a source of pride for us that FKKGIK UNPRI produces quality dentist graduates. Because we realize that becoming a dentist is not easy. Where you have to go through two stages. Starting from the academic process of S1 (Dentistry Education) for 7 semesters within a period of 3.5 years. Continued again with the academic process of the profession (dentist profession) for 4 semesters within a period of 2 years. And after that you still have to take the national exam stage, namely the Dentistry Profession Program Student Competency Test (UKMP2DG), which in accordance with PP 53 academic 4 semesters and profession minimum 2 semesters", he said.
On the occasion, the dean also said that in accordance with the decision of the independent accreditation institution for health colleges dated July 15, 2022, the Dentistry Study Program has received "Very Good" accreditation for the Undergraduate Dentistry Education and Dentistry Profession Study Programs. "You should be proud to be alumni of FKKGIK UNPRI", he added.
One of the graduates expressed his impression that the day of inauguration and oath-taking for them was very historic in their life journey. "God willing, we will note it and remember it throughout our lives. We realize, today at the dentist oath-taking event, we feel the end of a fairly tiring educational process, until we can hold the title of dentist. However, at the same time we also understand that this is the beginning of a long period of service", said drg. Yogie Setiawan.
He said that as UNPRI graduates they should not be careless in using their profession. "We must obey the ethics and rules in devoting ourselves to the community as stated in our oath today where we are committed to togetherness in colleagues, humanitarian missions, and professional mandates", he added.
He gave a message to students who are still active at this time, to make the most of their time during college, because in reality time goes very quickly and is always chased by various tasks.
"While you are still a student, build brotherhood with fellow students both within the same faculty family and more widely. Respect the lecturers, because no matter how hard the education is, the intention is to make us stronger and have a higher level of knowledge," he explained.
The inauguration and taking of the Dentist Oath of the Dentistry Profession Study Program Students of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences UNPRI was attended by the Dean Prof. Dr. dr. H. Gusbakti Rusip, M.Sc., Sp.KKLP(K)., PKK., AIFM., AIFO(K), Vice Dean I Dr. dr. Linda Chiuman, M.K.M., M.Biomed, Vice Dean II Dr. dr. Maya Sari Mutia, M.K.M., M.Biomed, Vice Dean III Dr. Santy Deasy Siregar, SKM., M.Kes, Vice Dean IV drg. Susanto, M.Kes, Director of the Dental and Oral Hospital Dr. drg. Florenly, MHSM., MPH., MDSc, Head of Study Program drg. Cindy Denhara Wijaya, M.Biomed, three clergy (Islamic clergy, Protestant Christian clergy, Buddhist clergy).
