FAST UNPRI Holds PKKMB: Hundreds of Freshmen Welcomed into a World-Class Technology Ecosystem
Supporting Freshmen Competencies Through International-Standard Laboratories And Learning Facilities.
Medan, September 22, 2026 — The Faculty of Science and Technology (FAST) at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) successfully hosted its Campus Life Introduction for New Students (PKKMB) at the UNPRI Main Campus Mini Hall on Tuesday (Sept 22, 2026). Hundreds of incoming freshmen from six undergraduate programs were officially welcomed: Informatics Engineering, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, and Civil Engineering.
The enthusiastic event was graced by the Dean of FAST UNPRI, Vice Deans I, II, and III, program chairs and secretaries, academic administration staff, and faculty representatives.
In his address, the Dean emphasized two core pillars of education at FAST: the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum and world-class educational infrastructure. He noted that students joining FAST UNPRI will experience a learning process tailored to produce measurable, globally relevant competencies. Furthermore, the Dean highlighted the establishment of PACE (Prima AI Competency and Ecosystem)—North Sumatra's FIRST AI laboratory—designed not just as a learning space, but as a smart ecosystem engineered to drive technological advancement in Indonesia and provide hands-on AI exploration for students.
The Dean affirmed that incoming students are stepping into a cutting-edge ecosystem built to mold them into resilient technology professionals ready for both national and global markets.
