OVERVIEW

A Bachelor of Clinical Pharmacy (Sarjana Farmasi Klinis) is a degree that focuses on medication management and patient care. This program combines pharmaceutical knowledge with clinical practice, aiming to produce graduates who can provide specialized medication services within healthcare teams. They not only understand the chemical and pharmacological properties of drugs but also know how to optimize drug therapy based on individual patient needs.

During their studies, students learn core subjects such as medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, and clinical pharmacokinetics. Additionally, they gain practical experience through internships and clinical rotations, where they learn to collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use for patients.

Graduates with a Bachelor of Clinical Pharmacy typically work in hospitals, community pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, or research institutions. Their responsibilities include evaluating drug prescriptions, monitoring drug efficacy and side effects, providing medication counseling, and participating in the development of medication management policies. Their goal is to ensure the safety and effectiveness of drug therapy while minimizing the risks of drug-related problems.

Moreover, clinical pharmacy graduates possess strong communication skills, enabling them to explain complex medication information to patients and help them understand their treatment plans. To produce professional Pharmacy graduates with a sociotechnopreneurial mindset, excelling in the use of medication for degenerative diseases by the year 2030.

MISSION

  1. To provide pharmaceutical education aimed at producing professional pharmaceutical technical personnel who adhere firmly to the professional code of ethics, possess a sociotechnopreneurial mindset, and excel in solving problems related to drug use for degenerative diseases.
  2. To conduct research on drug use for degenerative diseases as an effort to acquire science and technology (IPTEK) that can be utilized to solve health problems in Indonesia.
  3. To carry out community service based on reasoning, scientific research works, and sociotechnopreneurship in drug use for degenerative diseases to improve public health and enhance the intellectual life of the nation.
  4. To implement the Tridharma of higher education services based on optimal resource management, supported by collaborations with both domestic and international institutions.

PURPOSES

  1. To produce professional pharmaceutical technical personnel who adhere firmly to the code of ethics for pharmaceutical technical staff and possess a sociotechnopreneurial mindset, excelling in solving problems related to drug use for degenerative diseases.
  2. To generate knowledge and technology in clinical pharmacy used to address pharmaceutical issues, particularly in drug use for degenerative diseases, which benefits the improvement of public health.
  3. To deliver community service based on reasoning and research works that are useful in solving pharmaceutical problems related to drug use for degenerative diseases, aiming to improve quality of life and educate the nation.
  4. To provide excellent services with optimal internal resource management, supported by collaborations with institutions both domestic and international.

TARGETS

  1. To improve the curriculum quality to align with the latest advancements in clinical pharmacy and healthcare service needs.
  2. To increase the number and quality of research in clinical pharmacy published in reputable national and international journals.
  3. To expand collaborations with hospitals, pharmacies, and academic institutions to support clinical pharmacy education and research.
  4. To enhance student involvement in clinical practice, pharmaceutical research, and community service activities.
  5. To develop training and certification programs to improve graduates’ competencies in clinical pharmacy practice.
