Doctoral Of Management

This course provides an understanding of quantitative research processes and approaches to explain and test relationships among variables in the field of management. Students are equipped with the skills to design research, develop instruments, collect data, and apply statistical analysis appropriately. Through this course, students are expected to be able to produce quantitative research that is valid, reliable, and scientifically sound.

• CPMK1 — Be able to explain the paradigms and concepts of quantitative research
• CPMK2 — Able to analyze and evaluate the formulation of research problems, objectives, and gaps
• CPMK3 — Able to develop research hypotheses, operationalize variables and indicators, and determine the research design or model
• CPMK4 — Be able to analyze and evaluate sampling techniques, determine sample size, and select research instruments using data collection methods that uphold research ethics
• CPMK5 — Possess the ability to analyze and evaluate data processing techniques such as descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis
• CPMK6 — Possess the ability to analyze and evaluate the presentation of research findings and discussions, as well as the writing of research reports

Provides an in-depth understanding of the influence of philosophical concepts on management practice. This course explores the relationship between philosophical theories and management principles, as well as how ethical and philosophical values shape decision-making, behavior, and organizational culture.

• CPMK1 — Be able to explain the basic concepts and the development of philosophical thought relevant to management science, including various philosophical schools of thought.
• CPMK2 — Be able to analyze and evaluate different scientific paradigms, and understand the contribution of philosophy to the development of those paradigms
• CPMK3 — Be able to apply philosophical principles in a managerial context, including in decision-making and conflict resolution within an organization.
• CPMK4 — Be able to formulate new theories or develop existing ones based on a strong philosophical foundation, in order to address practical challenges in management.
• CPMK5 — Has the ability to conduct in-depth research that integrates philosophy and management science, and to publish the results in scientific journals
• CPMK6 — uses a philosophical approach to analyze complex managerial problems and offers innovative and ethical solutions

The Scientific Article Writing course was designed to equip students with practical and strategic skills in transforming research results into high-quality scientific article manuscripts that are ready to be published in nationally accredited journals (SINTA) and internationally reputable journals (Scopus/WoS).

• CPMK1 — Able to design scientific article drafts that are logically structured according to IMRaD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) structure standards and guidelines for reputable journals
• CPMK2 — Able to synthesize scientific arguments and transform research data into communicative narrative findings that are oriented towards scientific contributions.
• CPMK3 — Able to implement publication ethics, digital citation management, and strategies to prevent plagiarism and data manipulation.
• CPMK4 — Able to manage the submission process, respond to reviewer reviews (rejoinder letters), and revise manuscripts until they are ready for publication in accredited/reputable journals.

This course is designed to equip Doctoral, Master of Accounting, and Master of Management students with the ability to compile an international-quality literature review as the foundation for their thesis. The OBE-based approach emphasizes the output in the form of a ready-to-use draft of Chapter 2. Students will learn to differentiate research paradigms (summary vs. synthesis), the hierarchy of evidence, precision search strategies (Boolean and AI), critical evaluation (CRAAP), bibliometric mapping (Connected Papers), reference management (Mendeley), and publication ethics and the use of AI. The interactive learning method (Zoom) uses the Feynman and Podomoro techniques to ensure cross-disciplinary understanding.

• CPMK1 — Able to critically analyze various types of literature sources (primary, secondary, tertiary) and map multidisciplinary research maps within the scope of Doctor of Management, Master of Management (Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations) and Master of Accounting (Audit, Taxation and Finance) appropriately to identify research gaps.
• CPMK2 — Able to evaluate the credibility of scientific sources (including predatory journals) and apply publication ethics and ethical boundaries of the use of AI in academic writing.
• CPMK3 — Able to construct a theoretical framework and synthesize (not just summarize) various sources to draft a systematic, structured literature review that contributes to the development of management science.
• CPMK4 — Able to implement digital and AI tools (Mendeley, Dimensions.ai, Scispace, Publish or Perish) effectively for reference management, bibliometric visualization, and literature search automation.
