FKIP Unpri Expands Cooperation with School Partners
Implementing the Independent Learning Curriculum
On Thursday, October 22, 2020, FKIP Universitas Prima Indonesia held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with several junior high schools, senior high schools, and vocational high schools in North Sumatra. The signing of this collaboration is a realization of the Independent Learning Curriculum policy promoted by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. Specifically, this collaboration is intended for the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program which successfully won the 2020 Independent Learning Curriculum Grant.
The main point in the cooperation built by both parties is to develop the field of education through internships or teaching practices. In this case, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Unpri, which is known to be the birthplace of prospective teachers, is very important to know the conditions of students in the partner environment. Thus, through this cooperation, it is hoped that the school can support the process by providing open information to prospective teachers from FKIP Unpri. A number of school partners who agreed to sign this MoA are SMA Dharma Bakti Medan, SMA Dwiwarna Medan, SMA Global Prima Medan, SMK Jerisa Mandiri, SMA Private Pencawan Medan, SMA YAPIM, SMK Bina Satria Medan, SMK Dharma Bakti Medan, SMK Sandhy Putra 2 Medan, SMP Negeri Hutabayuraja, SMP Private Pencawan Medan, SMP Private Amalyatul Huda, SMP Private Talitakum Medan, SMA Dharma Pancasila, SMP Pangeran Antasari SMK Pangeran Antasari, SMK Sinar Husni, SMP Private Masehi Berastagi, SMKS 1 Delima Sari Tiga Juhar, SMKS Delima Sari Tiga Juhar.
"The implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum requires the expansion of partners who provide study spaces for students. Through this activity, it is hoped that the FKIP Universitas Prima Indonesia can maximize the implementation of learning that refers to the Independent Learning policy, so that it can produce teachers who are the driving force of the nation." Dian Syahfitri emphasized in her opening remarks.
Like a response from a partner school, these hopes were enthusiastically responded to by Syafrizal, S.E., a representative of the partner schools who were present. Specifically, Syahrizal fully supports the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum so that there will be more driving teachers who dare to break through conventional learning.
